Flite 3300 Gloves

Recommended Posts

After a visit a few weeks ago to the Flite Hockey store near my house, I was told that they were having a new top rank glove for the 2005. Because all of Flite's gloves are made my Eagle, I had high expectations of this new glove. So a few days ago I returned to the store hoping that the new gloves would be in. I was in luck.

The Flite 3300 is basically the same as the Eagle Fusion glove but made to Flite's desires.

They are 13.5" in size and in my opinion are some of the most comfortable and most protective gloves around. Currently they are a full leather glove, but they are debating weather or not to use the checkerboard weave as seen on the Fusions. The 3300's will be offered in 7 colour schemes- plain black; black & white; all red; black, red, and white; all blue; blue, white orange (Edmonton); and blue, red, and white. Possibly in the near future they will offer a custom glove program with other colours. The palm is full leather and is reinforced on the palm and thumb. Unlike Eagle, they have 2-piece fingers and more separation in the foam offering greater mobility. I only have a few complaints about the gloves, but nothing major. These are: the glove is not offered with a Goat palm, they are not offered in Nylon, and that the logos are screened on and not stitched.

If you would like a review on the Eagle Fusion, there is one in the review section.

In store, they only had 7 pairs of their demo gloves (Black, Red, and White; and Edmonton scheme) but luckily they were willing to sell me a pair. I'm not sure what the retail cost will be for these gloves but I assume they will be slightly less than the Fusions. I will be able to get my hands on a 2005 Flite catalogue in a few weeks and I will be sure to scan and upload them if desired. For more information on Flite Hockey, visit: Flite Hockey's Website.

When I visited the store last year, I tried on their gloves and they were really comfortable. Sounds like they still are and look a bit more better looking then their other models that looked cheap IMO.

Unlike Eagle, they have 2-piece fingers

There are some Eagle gloves this year that will come in Split Finger...such as the Infinity glove.

those gloves don't look half bad depending on the price.

I wear Flite gloves just now, and they're great! Not a particularly "big" company, particularly when it comes to gloves, but they make some pretty good stuff.

Last year I decided to stock some Flite gloves in my store. Haven't sold one pair, no one even picks them up to try them on! Still, not a bad glove, just everyone is more concerned with "status", so less likely to want a no-name.

The 3300 PRos look comfortable. Any idea when release date is set? And if the 3300 PRos are in other sizes, possibly 14''?

*Side note:With their OPS, they only have one set of specs, but three sticks in the picture. Can anyone elaborate?

From what I saw at the store, the 3300 Pro and the 1100 are basically the same glove but the materials being different. But this year I believe that the 1100 are adapting some the Pro's features.

The 3300's that I have replaced last year's 3300 Pro's and the official release will be late this month/early next month.

The only OPS that I have seen in store is the yellow one. The other colours might have been options at one point in time, but to my knowledge, they are the same stick.
