ive had my G5s for about 2 months now and i havent noticed anything except normal wear... if something major happens to your skate im sure you will notice it (like if the holder randomly falls of while skating, or the boot splits off the sole  <- none of which ive ever heard of)

I had MAJOR issues with my first pair of G-35s. The composite outsole was splitting and fraying on the insides and outsides of both skates around the balls of my feet, and the cracking was actually beginning to make it's way across the bottom of my forefoot (underneath the holder).

I got my replacement pair Friday night and have since been on the ice everyday (two games, two practices, another practice in a little over an hour - I'm currently waiting for my buddy to swing by and pick me up). Nothing too bad yet, but it does look as though the same problem may arise, as the inside of the outsole on my left skate does seem to be showing some early signs of abnormal wear...

Even though there was sole separation between the innersole and outsole when my holders where changed, I still like the G35. I’m confident that JR’s work will keep the 2 together. I’ve been skating in them 3 times a week since September and the boot has held up OK and are a comfortable skate. If the new Mission L7’s fit, I’ll give them a try. If not, I’ll stick with the Graf’s, but maybe drop down to the 735 and try to order them without blades and have the PITCH put on instead.

I have heard that there have been some issues with Graf skates however, I couldn't be happier with my 727 cyberflex skates. I've been playing two to three times a week since the Beginning of October and the boots show no signs of breaking down and I weigh 215 lbs. I think if you research hard enough you will find that all skate mfg companies will put out the odd lemon.

If you are worried about the G series have a look at the 700's which is the Graf line of choice for the pros.
