There WILL be an NHL season this year?

I just watched ESPN's "Fact or Fiction" on sportscenter and Barry Melrose was asked the question if he thinks that the NHL will play a season this year. He said it was a "FACT" and that he thinks the deal will work itself out overnight and that Gary Bettman will announce that they have come to an agreement in the press conference tomorrow. It's some optimistic insight from a hockey "expert" but I for one think that its fiction. I dont think that they will come to an agreement overnight and write everything up and agree on absolutely everything. What do you guys think? Fact or Fiction?

Hey if Melrose thinks there will..it's got to be "Fact"

Can you imagine what it's like right now in the Minor's and Euro leagues, with guys not knowing if they will have to cut and run, and guys who were displaced wondering if they will get "the call".....plans all on hold....Teams wondering what this will do to their standings and fans......The ripple effect is significant...people who work for the NHL and the teams wondering whether they should jump ship again if they have found new employment....Facilities putting hundreds of people on standy and being told to "go fly a kite..." You can imagine just how fond all these people are of those who have screwed up their lives so royally.

It doesnt make sense that they can have all these meetings and not get a agreement and then overnight were playing hockey again. Desperation would have to play a pretty big factor if they work out an agreement overnight.
