A friend of mine was getting or looking at Nike v-12 pads... he came across some Nike quest Pro pads that looked identical....except in the name..

Is there a difference in the nike quest pro series vs. the v-10, 12-14 series?

Equipment only...not skates

Nike's skates never really changed, just name and color, so theres a chance they are the same
