Jordan6969 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 My friend told me about some faulty x box power cord problem and how it was starting fires and whatnot. I also heard it was for 2003 x box's which I have. Anyone know anything about this?
turcotte44 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2005 yah, aparently they've been catching on fire. I haven't heard of it ever happening, but obviously it's a problem.

hink9 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2005 i think these are for can models only
MNdgame 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2005 i think these are for can models only Yeah I guess so. I get "We have determined that your Xbox console requires a replacement cord. Microsoft will send you a new cord, at no cost, to replace the cord that originally came with your Xbox console." But then when I try to chose the shipping address I can only chose Canadien "states"...
MNdgame 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2005 Well Im retarded, I just figured it out for anybody in the US if they want one. http://replacements.webprogram.com/ go there no to the other link. The other one already had canada selected as a country.

Fonya 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2005 Ask your friend if the drive is thompson, phillips or samsung. Samsung is the best and comes on all the newer models, phillips is alright and thompson is the worst no for games freezing and messing up.
Fonya 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2005 Heres the link to pictures of the drivesLinkIf its not a phillips or samsung(the best one) you should ask if he will knock a bit off since its a more crappier driver.

MNdgame 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2005 Even if you're having trouble with it freezing and stuff, I bet you could send it back to microsoft to get it fixed for free. I've done it with game cube, and xbox.
