Most teams have kept their staff in tact for the most part but they have shortened the work week which the article doesn't mention. I know Calgary kept its full staff but gave them a mandatory four day work week and some teams are down to a three day work week.

On their prospects...

I am going to see the Battallion play the Icedogs this Sunday and it will be the third time I've seen Wojtek Wolski play this year. He is one of the best skaters in a one-on-one situation with NHL size at 6'- 3" and could be a solid NHL'r.

A number of teams, not to mention the NHL, have used this as a chance to get rid of a lot of dead wood. Others have laid off workers to try and keep budgets in line.
