broken padding

my bauer 5000 helmet's gel pack has a little cut in it. Is it gel or foam?

IN the front, do you guys think i should replace it or not?

i think it's foam. gel wouldn't be able to compress to absorb impact since it'd be pretty much a liquid.

is there stuff coming out of the cut? if your foam is falling out it probably wouldnt hurt. if it isnt don't worry about it.

I have two splits in the front of my foam padding for my 5000 from all the drying and stiffening in the locker room. It's foam, so no worries. Also, don't worry about getting it replaced. If some of it falls out, it's not that hard to glue it back in.
