Cyclone Taylor Pro-Return Blades

I'm interested in grabbing some pro-return blades (wood), but I am also curious about the process. I have gathered that you can ask for a curve type, etc. and they'll do their best. How do you know what you're getting though? Will they send out blades that are five years old? When is a wooden blade "too old"? I'm guessing you just have to kind of hope for the best. I also noticed they have pro-return Synthesis blades listed...has anyone here tried them out yet?

Yet another question, would it be better to go through Peranis since I live in the States? May be it would save a little on the shipping costs...decisions, decisions.

I don't have an answer to your first question, but I live in the States, and I've ordered a bunch from Cyclone and have never been fleeced on shipping.

I was at the Coquitlam Cyclone Taylors and the pro synthesis blades they had in stock were the YP and a toe curve similar to Koivu's.

You basically just have to hope for the best. The pro synthesis blades are the same as the retails so don't expect anything "better". I remember posting the patterns that they had a while ago so do a search.
