Paint chipping

Recommended Posts

Is it me or are there a lot of people who found the paint chipping on the newer sticks really annoying? The only stick I've used without paint chipping off was the Easton Ultralite, the brown one, not the new green. And does anyone know what kind of material is on the Ultralite? You know what Im talking about right? That clear stuff....

The brown Ultra lite is covered in Kevlar and then clearcoat, I find the same thing with my Z-bubbles. I dont know why easton has to ruin something when they have a good thing going.

Exactly, I'm not the only one that thinks that way then, does anyone know if we could maybe get some sort of clearcoat like those on our own and apply it to sticks? BTW the grip lite uses the same material as the Ultra except its just got a grip coating instead of cleart coat right?

you can buy clearcoat sprays at pretty much any store that sell spray paint. this should slow the chipping, who knows, it might even stop it , wouldnt that be nice <_<

Paint chipping??? That's all you got to worry about??? PLEASE!!!!

If you don't want your $250 stick to chip, don't stick it in harms way.

What did you think a 70mph puck was gonna do!!!! :D :P

On my brand new TPS XN10, after playing with it for only 1 period there was already a TON of paint chipped off it. As long as the structural integrity of the stick isn't comprimised, I don't care how it looks or how much paint chips off.

i dont think any stick is selling for 250 rustyholes. at least not in USD

You're right...except he isn't in the US, he's from Canada. A simple click on his name would've told you that.
