My New Gear Came Today!

Hey Kirsch, what blade did you end up getting shaved down? If it's a standard length, you're gonna have one long stick. On the topic of shaving blades down, I successfully shaved and cut a T-Flex blade into a synthesis style blade. I wouldn't try it on a brand new blade seeing mine was just lying around and I was bored.

Kirsch, I would take the honesty route and tell them you received a R2XN10 instead of a RLXN10.  Think about it if you were the retailer who goofed.

Consider this. Sometimes if you order something and it's out of stock, they'll send you something better as a replacement, tho usually they'll tell you if they've done this.

That happened to me with a pair of shinpads. Got Jofa 8060s instead of 8040s. Called kemps to ask what happened and they said they ran out of stock. At first I didn't really want the 60s b/c of how thick they were, but they're great now.

Well I ended up putting an Easton Hybrid Sakic pattern into it. It is a long stick but being 6'1" it doesnt bother me. Plus I play with my stick aways out from my body.

I got to use it for the first time yesterday and so far I love it. It is a little blade heavy but once I got used to it it didn't bother me at all. I went straight from a solid wood Titan TSM to a whip flex. When I ordered it I thought maybe it would take me a while to get used to it, but after a couple shots I was ripping them off like no ones business. Also I didn't expierence any torque but the vibration was a little nasty. Overall I am in love.

the shop might have of just ran out of Redlightxn10s. so instead of having to cancel your order they just gave you something better.

last year this sort of happened to me, i ordered eagle x80s and got l 30s in the mail, i called back and they said they ran out of that x80s o they had to send me the next best thing.

i was about to but a rl xn10 at some rink i was at yesterday for a southeast tteam thing my mom made me goto and they were light as crap. too much money though, they were $109.

You did the right thing by letting them know but I don't think they would have done anything about it anyway. The difference is what 40.00? Once you add up the cost to ship it back, restock it, pick the new shaft, pack it and reship it, the company really doesn't save any money over just letting you keep it. Plus even if the difference in all of that was 20.00, that's not worth having an unhappy customer. Lucky break for you my friend.
