Bauer Supreme 7000

Any of the skate experts remember if there was any difference between the 2001 Supreme 7000 skates versus the 2002 Supreme 7000 when it comes to fit, width mainly? I really liked the '01 model I used to use and found a pair of '02 and just wondered if the fit would be the same. Sorry I realize we're talking about 3-4 year old skates, just thought somebody might know.

The 02s were shorter in height, and the cut was changed a bit. Length and width were the same.

I believe the fit is the same, except they added the "power fit system" and the quarters were a little bit softer (but still brutally stiff). The 01 has the grey quarters, whereas the 02 is all black, similar to the 8090. Both awesome skates, even up to todays standards.

Power Fit System was always there. The main difference was what I listed above. The first-generation 7000s were too tall.

Your probably right, I remember there being huge PFS posters with Lindros on them all over the store when the 02s were released.

Yeah, they always had that Power thing. The first year it was Supreme PFS and then the next year they changed it to Power Fit. If I am not mistaken, the first year they had Lindros, the 2nd year they had Pronger.

2000 was the first year of the 7000. They made the changes in 2001. That being said, the 2001 and 2002 ones should be the same.
