opus22 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2005 all good ideas guys, thanks. as for the rockers, ive heard too many mixed reviews about them to go that way - some things were good though. i also thought of the sure grips - cause i saw the price they can be had for. my only problem is many many moons ago i had sure grips on a ccm skate, they werent streamlined and cutaway like more modern models - which meant they tend to catch more pucks and bend pretty easily. i spent a lot of time knocking out dents. i dont know if the ones for sale online are any better - but i tend to think you generally get what you pay for. i like the idea of the hummers and the final frames (though ive never seen these) - but the price is a bit steep. i think i might lean towards the labedas since they are a bit cheaper - though id really like to see the final frames. ive got friends who still work in stores, ill see how much they can get either one for - if they can at all. sdcopp 1 Report post Posted March 31, 2005 you might check hockeyandskateoutlet.com, as they have a variety, including the Final Force chassis, which is a step below the Factor frame, but excellent none the less. The Force frames are going for 50.95 right now
opus22 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2005 thats a great selection there - though some of the prices can definitely be beat on the lower end sure grips. are the final factors similar to the final forces? those upper end sure grips looked pretty nice as well. The Factors may be a little lighter, and come in polished, red or blue, all with a flag design logo on them. The Force come in that brown and only that brown, but are still great chassis. Final made better frames than Sure-Grip until the 505, as the Final company also made THE premier inline speed frames under the name Ultimate in the late 90's. I'd gladly pay 150.00 for Finals if I was looking for flat frames. They probably have the shortest wheelbase of any other old school flat frame too, so it won't feel like a pontoon
MDE3 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2005 As far as using the Hum'ers, the pitch has as much to do with the boot as the frame itself. If you want extended glide, you will love the Hum'ers ..with the full 80 mm wheels, if your feet are big enough to take the larger chassis....You will not find an easier "push" or a better glide than the hummer......assuming the right wheels and bearings of course..... sdcopp 1 Report post Posted April 4, 2005 Is anything wrong with your E-Frame? If not, then why invest in a new chassis?
