Flex Help for SL

Recommended Posts

Ok my freind is getting a synergy Sl Grip and wants to know what flex would be aprropriate.he is 5'9" 160 lbs, he needs to know what flex would be appropriate for him as a player who uses slap-shots often. He would go and try the stick in our LHS but they don't have it in yet and he is buying off the internet. hese looking at 85 or 100 flex.

What does he use know and what does he like/dislike about it. We can't even begin to help without a lot of other info, then it all comes down to what he likes.

right now he uses a 100 flex si-core grip. he feels it's a bit to stiff for wristers but about right for slapshots.

I went from a SI-Core Grip to an SL, the SL whips a little more in the equivalent flex (either due to it actually being whippier or me being able to lean into it more and generate more stick speed from the lighter shaft.) 100 should be perfect.

I agree. I have an SL 110 flex, and it feels more like a Bauer Pro Flex 102.

I'd stick with the 100 flex. However if anyone is interested in a 110 flex I am selling one, cheap, in the Sell Forum.
