Sani Sport

Well...my gear definately doesn't stink anymore (pants and skates were the worst). The Sani Sport solution leaves a mediciny smell almost like a hospital. The guy that did mine uses a scented neutralizer spray that he said goes away after about 8 hours. I kinda hope so, cause right now all my stuff smells like cherries.

29.95 + tax...not too bad if you only have ot do it once or twice a year. Sani Sport recommends that you do it every 10-20 skates...that would get really expensive.

Glad you liked it. Actually the Sani-Sport uses the same process that hospitals use to sanitize operating rooms, and the mediciny smell is the clean smell of ozone. And what, you have something against cherry smell???? :-)

Sani-Sport (the company) does not recommend any intervals, that must have been the store you got it done at recommendation. I recommend once at end of season and once mid season. You can do it more if you have rash problems or one of those people with body odor "Problems"

I only charge $19.99. Not too expensive especially when you consider Esporta charges $50-60. I also have discount passes, 3 for $35. That's cheap.

I got mine done a few weeks ago. smell was gone for about a week then back it was . I got all of my gear done, even the bag. Definately worth the $30 if you cant take it anymore. :P

I'm sure I'd take some jabs if I walk into the room smelling all fruity...

I dont' think it is an interval that they recommend as a rule, but the guy in talking to them said they told him that....not that they advertise it that way. He does the once a year for 1-2 times a week players but start and midle for players who skate more often.

He told me that if you treat the stuff decent and air it out after every skate...it should last most of the year, just like when it was new...if you just leave it in the bag every skate, expect it to stink again quickly.

I skate 4 times a week and the stuff never leaves my bag. I run it thru the sani once a month. If I don't after 6 weeks it starts getting foul again. But the best way to make treatment last is to air dry the equipment.

BTW, the cherry stuff is a bacteriacide that help prevent new smells from forming.
