I don't think he was an A at that time. I don’t have the time to research now for sure, but they wore starter from 95/96 to 98/99 I believe. And since there is no exact date I can not be sure. I think that 97 and 98 was the time when he started to become an alternate.

It having an A won't hurt sales. I think he had it in 98.
