Keep my hockey pants up with out suspenders?

I have a pair of Warrior Syko pants that fit well, but are constantly lowering while I'm playing. There not falling off, they just get lower when I play fall under my beer belly. I can't afford new ones right now, and the belt doesn't really seam to latch into place. Any suggestion? Could I sew in suspenders buttons?

An experienced hockey shop should be able to add suspender buttons.

and if the LHS can't do it, just ask a cobbler (or a shoe repair shop) to add the jeans-type buttons.

Sounds like trouble with the belt, get a new belt or go Ovie style and use a skate lace.

I took mine to a Shoe Repair shop. They have industrial sewing machines made to stitch leather soles and repair luggage. They can fix you up and give your boots a spit shine!

I use a lace it gets the job done well adding a certain amount of "swag"

I'm dealing with the same problem with my Combat 52 Cals

The standard belt isn't enough.

I added my old Cooper belt to the mix

Going to try that before adding suspenders as well. luckily these have suspender lugs
