These are the nicest looking skates....I have ever seen...

I have, with some x40, but that was after a year, and the most important to note is that the alignment was terrible. Other than that, none. My advice is, don't get mid-range skates, always get top end, even it has to be from 3 years ago, and focus on how your skates are aligned and you will be a happy camper.

3 sizes for any chassis: small-medium-large they usually match from one generation to the other, and drilling holes are likely to be constant as long as the size is being kept

I'm really excited about these skates which are in my opinion absolute beauties. :) @ vhfootwear: I love the composite toes, I understand you want to implement a plastic toe cap down the road, still, are you planning on keeping that composite toe option available? or was it just about the retail vs custom route?Is it possible to get t-nuts installed instead of rivets? I've experienced some discoloration and deterioration of the leather, how durable are they regarding skate cuts? overtime, the plastic of the boot's skeleton cane through the liner at the top of both sides of the boot, will there be some sort of comfort edge feature to avoid that? PS: These skates are immaculate!@vhfootwear & GiancarloSFL: Back on the mlx's i found the lining to keep its moisture quite a bit, and that is keeping me away from making a roller boot I see in the specs that you've adressed that, but I'm just checking.how they were addressed Apparently, Sprungs are back (Aug-Sept I believe)

Nope I don't feel a thing, they are the xxxx footbeds which have some sort of carbon fiber underneath.

If only I could get them undrilled... I'd buy them in a Heartbeat

Didn't do it but got these a couple of months ago, I figured for the guys that don't have access to tools such as rivet machine or else this could be a simple & straightforward but nevertheless practical & durable option.

Personnally, I they do look interesting, but the price tag...omg, no way I'd pay that. I would like to give them a try, but they do look a little awkward.

I agree on the weight issue, however, I don't mind it. Skating performance is 90% technique imo. Proper radius, blade pitch, alignment, hollow along with body stance/complete stride/forward flex, and then weight comes into becoming a factor (as long as it's not a 2lbs vs a 4 lbs Skate)

Is it possible to work out customs from a 3d image of your feet? I'm in europe so going through lhs isn't really an option.

has anyone who purchased makos had totalones in the past? I'd be interested in hearing the comparison and pros/cons that people have found

I'd say 1/2-1 hour after they feel cold from inside & outside. that's what worked for my mlx

I suspect somefan to have read everything about the mako skate but hasn't gone to a lhs to try them on.

Alkali CA9 Roller Hockey Girdle Size: S/M Reviewer Info: Level of play: Beer League Frequency of play: 2 times per week Size: 6'1, 185lbs Fit: Excellent tight fitting girdle. It fits like a UA compression short, snug to the body. If you are looking for a loose fitting pant, look elsewhere. This girdle is extremely comfortable. 10/10 Protection: This pad offers good protection, but they're not tanks, they are great for my usage, but you're not gonna stop slapshots with it, tailbone protection is decent but a little thicker & wider padding could be a good addition. 9/10 Weight: You won't notice you're wearing it. Compression shorts do their job of making the pant lightweight. The padding doesn't absorb moisture so that's very good as well. 10/10 Durability: So far so good. Been used for about 9 months and has held up great, no fraying or breakdown in any areas, just the alkali logo that is gone, otherwise great durability. 10/10 Intangibles: I've seen quite a few roller hockey girdles out there but this one is a lot lighter than any of the others and as opposed to a couple of crash pads these are compression shorts which do affect performance, they are lighter, they wick away moisture much better than any of the girdles/crash pads out there and they have a more streamlined look compared to others too. You can wear the girdle for any sport that involves falling. (I've used it for outdoor hockey and soccer goalkeeping) Conclusion: Great girdle! Great mobility, Durability and performance. Overall Rating: 9.75/10 (39/40)
