  1. Quite unacceptable considering the price you pay for the skates
  2. Hey Alan, no this was meant for Hockeylife20, but I have seen a couple of mako skates on the bay and on craigslist, they are definitely worth it so I'm wishing you good luck there :)
  3. yeah, I know that's a bit of a pain though, I could drill the inline chassis to a sheet of aluminium and drill holes at the same location as the ice holders are, quite a bit of weight added though :S
  4. hey guys I'm planning on doing a conversion soon, but instead of using rivets, I'll use t-nuts. The idea behind it is to use the same holes (screws and t-nuts) for both the inline chassis and the ice holders, does any of you know how I could achieve that goal?
  5. I would have loved if they could have kept that orange line though, an all black look with an orange line throughout the skate would def have looked awesome imo
  6. Jesus Christ this is a thing of beauty...unbelievable! Well done!
  7. if I were you, the least I'd do is take my feet measurements in cm/mm and send that off to an online lhs such as totalhockey or hm
  8. Cool, learned something new today, I was just wondering if that wasn't a clue for the holder attachment issue
  9. it's just weird to see carbon fiber that is silver like that...
  10. it looks like fiberglass on the heel is it?
  11. Regarding the lack of images and videos on the website, I'm sure that some guys could be interested in doing a review with a hq camera behind a white screen and show the equipment worn and talk you through the product. If this could be worth a discount after the video is posted, (therefore accepted by tron) it could be worth x$ off next order. I personnaly like the new website and theme, but it's true that it sometimes lack information. Sizing charts for example aren't always there.
  12. aren't T blades super expensive in the long run because of the replacement steel? I was interested last year because it's hard to get a good sharpener in my area, but the prices of replacements made me stick to a regular setup
  13. Interesting link but I wonder what kind of radius and pitch they took in order to make the measurements, plus the tendon guard doesn't come into place only when going forward, sometimes when you're turning, you need that extra flexibility to increase the distance between front and back legs in order to have a better balance. range of motion is a very important aspect in skating, as you're not always going in circle. Personally I hate having something pushing on my calf when skating.
  14. weight is such an overrated aspect compared to the fit, comfort, mobility and protection.
  15. I cannot believe that you're allowing yourself to sell uncertified helmets. That's great! "Oh sure you can buy our prototype for a very cheap price! But ooh I forgot to tell you, they aren't certified and aren't validated yet to play hockey with..." hmmm hello this is a brain you're talking about, not an elbow. Oh well hockey isn't a sport in which you're likely to have a concussion anyway!
  16. These are the nicest looking skates....I have ever seen...
  17. I have, with some x40, but that was after a year, and the most important to note is that the alignment was terrible. Other than that, none. My advice is, don't get mid-range skates, always get top end, even it has to be from 3 years ago, and focus on how your skates are aligned and you will be a happy camper.
  18. where are they made by the way? Mexico or China?
  19. Kind of a humangous big toe cap from that angle According to the skate specs, a velcro holds the tongue in place
  20. 3 sizes for any chassis: small-medium-large they usually match from one generation to the other, and drilling holes are likely to be constant as long as the size is being kept
