  1. Anyone know of a release date for the new skate line? Thanks!
  2. Man there is a lot of great info on this thread and forum!! I have learned a ton about skate sharpening!! Another quick question, how often is everyone needing to replace their grinding wheels on the X01 or X02? Also, what, if any, are the differences in the differnt colored wheels for these machines? I can see the explanation in the bigger wheels but cannot see if it carries over into the smaller X series wheels or not. What is everyone using and having the most success with? Thanks!
  3. Is the only difference from the BR100 and the BR200 the multiple line marks on the 100? They look pretty close from the pics. While being new to this skate shrpening too, I don't have a lot of confidence in the bat gauge I have and am looking for someting else.
  4. JR Boucicaut, I also thank you for your help!! You are always very quick to jump in and help out!!
  5. Welcome z71!! I joined for this thread at first too and now find myself all over the whole forum!!! Another question for me and my new X-01. When placing the spinner wheel on, I have seen/read some conflicting things on which way it should be placed onto the machine. Does the snap-ring end face towards the ground or ceiling when mounted? Also, I am using 100/50 for my son now. Would the next logical step be to a 90/75 to try and get a bit more speed/glide and a bit less bite? I am still trying to figure out all this new stuff in regards to sharpening and the angles and such. Thanks!! Also z71, For me being new at this too, I have left the pitch knob alone as suggested and had pretty good success so far. I have only done a few pairs of skates, but it seems to work to just adjust the front and back knobs for me.
  6. Thanks for the input! I should have bought some to try when I ordered the sharpener, but I guess I spaced it while being over-excited!
  7. I just got the X-01 and love it!! Very simple after a bit of practice. I am wondering if anyone uses the teftop spray from blackstone? I am just wondering what it is and if there is a cheaper version that I can buy local.
