I'm in the blue jersey. Looks like I dodged a check but really I think he just tripped...lol

Sorry for the horrible image quality, I had to crop it out of a much larger picture.

HAHAHAHA The rink staff all know that kid. We call him Ovie. Kid is a nice guy, but just brutal. His latest thing was his self modified helmet. He took his cage and cut out the grid that would be around his eyes, and put his stupid mirrored visor inside of his cage. It is ridiculously bad looking haha. that pic is just classic Ovie.

  2. that essentially is the same thing. My store offers no returns at all. Something that was in place before i took over. Im not sure I really am comfortable with it, but on the positive side, i avoid issues where they have used something, and then i cant sell it again.

The shop I run is sort of handcuffed, being as its rink owned, and our rink is a county (non-profit) rink, on an indian reservation. Because of our unique tax status, returns actually can only legally be done on the same day. At least this is what i was told when i brought up changing our return policy.

  3. Had a customer come in this weekend, who's son had forgot his helmet at home. She walked over to my helmets, and asked if she could borrow one for a game, and then bring it back. I just sort of chuckled, and said no ma'am, thats not how it works. I cant sell a helmet after it has been used. She clearly didnt get this concept, and stormed out of the shop without saying another word.

If you read through this thread, there are many stories just like this. It happens very often. My question is, why? Are people really that fucking retarded? In what world would that be an ok practice?

  4. The more and more you guys say how difficult it is, the more i'm leaning against the one90s on hummers. I think it'd be like a dream skate to me, but i definitely don't wanna destroy the boot.

Is there anyone out there i can send them too?

Mike, I wouldnt do it. You are better off just getting a regular hi-low chassis, or a sprung and putting it on the one90. The Hummer is a great chassis, its just too damn difficult to mount with having to dremel boots. The soles on high end skates are just too thin.

  5. hehateme: so you only have 7 guys total? meaning.. 5 + goalie play on the floor.. then 2 sit and rest? that's insane.

i remember having to do that during pickup roller hockey games and i'd literally play maybe 15 minutes straight without getting a breather. how tough is it to play on a smaller team?

great jerseys and uniform setup though! (i think i would have done the Detroit D using that to spell out Danglers angling down like the Rangers have their lettering.. then have the detroit D on the shoulder, but sick nonetheless.

4 vs 4 for inline, and we have a guy missing in that pic. We just have 2 sets of D, 2 sets of F. We like it like that. It makes for good chemistry, and we all like to play alot, so it works out. I mean we all play about half the game.

  6. wow those were two sweet goals vs the dominator of all people. Nice job David go for the hatter

two sweet goals? One 5 hole hasek should of had, and the other, Chelios stood there and watched him bat it in. Should have laid him out.

I'd be mad if I was a Detroit fan right now too..

    But I'm not. Go Perron!

yeah, im not mad though nutsack. The Wings are arguably the best team in the NHL right now, and one bad period isnt going to get me mad. Calling those goals sweet is a bit of a stretch.

    I smell a homer.

Aussie -- the games not over yet. They'll be up.

lol ok call me a homer. arent you a big blues fan....

  7. A goal is a goal, who cares how its scored. To light up the lamp at the NHL level is special and at the end of the day it all counts when a team is making a run at the playoffs. In most cases you need to have good positioning and strength to score on rebounds.

I like to stay positive and say well done David.

right, i agree. A goal is a goal and its great that he scored. Again, the only thing i took issue with was someone saying they were sweet goals. Come on, lets get real for a minute.

  8. i sound like a 10 year old? read some of the posts glorifying him as if he is the next gretzky. Listen, im happy for him that he is the NHL doing well, and that he scored tonight, thats cool. The only thing I said was that those goals wernt sweet. Is that so bad?
