  1. Would you say its worth the upgrade to the AS 580 or are they pretty close?
  2. Had a chance to try both 80K and AS 570. Didnt like the forward flex on the Ribcor but the AS 570 felt great. Would you happen to know what the boot material is? 100% fiberglass?
  3. Looking to replace my old Jetspeeds from 2015, I believe these are a softer boot. Would the most comparable skate in terms of stiffness be the FT485 or the FT4? Thanks!
  4. Product: Tps Genesis Intermediate(75 flex) Intial Impression -Coming off of a Cyclone the shape felt extremely boxy, the shaft has a real solid feel to it and I could play physical and slash without worrying which is comforting. Flex - Normal straight wall shaft, so the flex wasnt anything special however it wasnt dead like the lower price carbon shafts, the flex was very consistent. Again this stick is a tank so the flex is normal nothing special but consistent which is all you can ask for in shafts like this. 7/10 Stickhandling/receiving passes - I think this depends more on the blade and my ability to actually stick handle however the shaft just felt solid and wasnt flimsy at all which made recieving passes and stickhandling pretty good. 8/10 Shooting - What can you expect again performance is sacrifised for durability, however since the shaft was fairly consistent and solid I was able to lean and put weight on it without worrying about the shaft snapping, wrist shots were average but I liked how the shaft responded to having weight put into it. 8/10 Weight and balance - Not the lightest, its suppose to be light according to Tps as it is around the 290 G mark however this shaft felt heavy and paired with a hybrid blade it was medicore at best which isnt such a bad thing since you can put some force into slashes and not get your stick lifted. For me I would have liked this to be just a little lighter however I am satisfied. 8/10 Durability - Absoulte tank, taken a few slashes handed out a few slashes, leaned into slappers, put weight onto the shaft and it keeps coming back for more, I couldnt see myself breaking this stick, the aspen sides I am not too sure if its just a gimmick but so far only cosmetic damaged and no visible dents and etc. 10/10 Conclusion - Tired of breaking sticks? Scared of expensive performance shafts breaking? Well you can always resort to tank shafts such as: Rubber,TriCore, Red Lite and UL and of course the Genesis and with it being the cheapest out of all the tank shafts this is a very safe investment as this will definitly last. The price is right too I got mine at United Cycyle for $89.99 Cdn. This is a great shaft for Durability. 8/10
  5. I own a pair of those but retail, the plams on mine is Kangaroo skin. Although it wont be as good as pro stock I love the design of that model I believe its the only Z Air model without the restrictive wrist wrap none the less its a great pair of gloves.

    Easton Cyclone

Product: Easton Cyclone 70 Flex Intial Impression -The radius shape of the shaft fit nicly in my hands and the weight at 270 grams was 90 grams lighter then my previous shaft. I am not too crazy about the "colourshift" finish to me it just looks like a dark purple anyways. Bottom line this shaft's shape was perfect for me however because of the shape replacing blades was just a pain and I fear that the tennon of the blade will over flair the bottom part of the shaft and might affect durabilty. 7/10 (personal prefernce on the shape) Flex - I wanted something that had whip even if it was cut down, the 70 was a really good flex for me and this shaft kicked really hard. Once again its personal prefence 9/10 Stickhandling/receiving passes - I think this depends more on the blade and my ability to actually stick handle but because this was a thinner shaft I had better feel then a straight wall boxy shaft. 8/10 Shooting - The whip and shape of the stick made a major differnce on my shooting, I could actually get a good grip on a senior shaft. I liked the kick on this thing but I needed a little time to get use to the shaft. The shape really made the differnce and I cant claim I was shooting rockets but I got hardershots off with this shaft since it matches my needs prefectly. 9/10 Weight and balance - Its one of the lgihtest senior shafts on the market and paired up with my super blade heavy blade it still felt extremely light, with a graphite blade this could very well be lighter then any fancy OPS. 10/10 Durability - This is my biggest concern because this stick is thinner it probally wont last too long. After just about a month of use this is one ugly stick, I got slashed many times and the paint is chipping off in chucks and I can see the graphite just beneath the paint. I heard from many of my friends that this shaft wont last too long but so far its intact. 8/10. Conclusion - This is basicly my custom stick, I needed something with a smaller radius and extra whip and thats what this shaft delivers. Great stick, just wished Easton flaired the bottom portion of the shaft a little bit so its easier to replace blades. I am not big on cosmetics but this shaft is ugly(even before any use). If you have smaller hands and wnat whip even if you cut it down a lot then this is for you. Matches my demands perfectly but just a few issues 8/10.
