  1. Do you know anything? David is getting a better experience practicing every day at the NHL level and at the NHL pace and observing and being around other professional NHL playesr than he would get walking a bunch of kids in the Q. Get real. This is easily the best route for him and when there are injuries (which there will be) he'll be the most ready to step in that he can be.
  2. JR, Pascal -- any news on whether or not he's in for tonight? I think I'm going to take my girlfriend to the game, so I'll be there regardless, would be rad to see him play again.
  3. I can see how he wouldn't play, tonight looks to be a pretty physical game and the Wild are on fire... gotta have the hard-noses.
  4. Putting white magnesium tri-dis on my Pro-Tacks, will get them done next week as I have a game this weekend. Pics to come.
  5. He's in the air for Saturday, but my money is on him playing.
  6. ewwwy. What made you get that? A couple things. Price. Features. Body-style. Fuel economy. I like hatchbacks. I'm 21 and work 2 jobs and go to school with mediocre credit, I can't afford a 23-25K car. The xD came in right at 15K with all the features I need (and wanted). Personally I don't think the body is "puke-worthy" at all, I think it's a nice, unique take on a fairly common, fairly well-accepted 5-door hatch body style. Oh, and it's small. I like small cars.
  7. From what I've heard -- Dougie is REALLY high on David.
  8. His stick broke, but it really worked out. David really showed how well he sees the ice tonight and that little dangle midway through wasn't too shabby either.
  9. 7:30 CST - Blues vs. Avalanche - Scottrade Center, St. Louis, Mo.
  10. David will play tonight. He and Hinote are in, Mike Johnson and DJ King (Who smacked Hordichuk down on Wed.) are out.
  11. Thanks Kovy, just read from Strickland that he's sitting again tonight... bummer.
  12. I think the assumption is he's going to play tonight at the home opener, although I haven't heard anything exclusive -- JR can certainly clue us in a little further, I'm sure.
  13. He meant a lot to this team before he became even more obsolete. Those who were once championed as the "working back bone" of organizations are now no more than tancious roster place holders. The status quo shifts. It's not as though personality, dedication and downright wholesome character aren't rewarded or revered anymore, it's that they have to come packaged with a dynamic talent of some kind -- one that contributes to an offensive ideal. Not to mention I'm sure JD and AM both felt horrible for buying him out -- that's a tough situation.
  14. Yeah, I heard that about the Drake thing too, an unoffical homage of sorts...
  15. Still up in the air, the Cajanek/Johnson scenario is what's stalling the news -- that is to say, the Blues want to offer Mike Johnson a contract but if they do AND keep Perron they will have 23 players and can't recall Cajanek (which is the idea, they want someone to grab him on re-entry) so without having the flexibility of pullling up Cajanek to dangle him out there at half salary in order to get someone to take him off the Blues books, the situation is tighter than it seems. What will probably happen is the Blues will keep Perron on and pull Cajanek back through, hopefully he gets claimed, but if he doesn't he'll probably be put right back on waivers and M. Johnson will be signed then and if he does get claimed then it just leaves room to sign M. Johnson then... Hope that's not too confusing.
  16. Yeah. David's relationship with a hardass like Brent Sutter means nothing to me or to the Blues. Andy Murray steers that ship and by all accounts he and JD are really high on David's abilities and moreover his dedication, tenacity and attitude. He's the real thing, we all know it here at MSH and whatever reservations the Blues front office had have been blown away over the course of this summer. It's only a matter of time before David is schooling Sutter's Devils.
  17. He played a really good physical game. I know Andy Murray and JD are both really high on him and he's done nothing but impress. I'm positive they will carry him into the season on the roster, probably playing him with Weight and Rucinsky considering he and Weight seem to have such good chemistry. If he continues on the path he's on now, I wouldn't be surprised if he stuck around after his first nine and if he can handle the rigors of the NHL schedule... be a leading canidate for rookie of the year. He was much more visible than Kane was.
  18. Yeah, it wasn't a fight with Brandon, it was with the coach, Brent, and it was because Brent was ragging on David for using Black tape to tape his shinguards... or something really silly like that.
  19. Cajanek got waived to the AHL -- it's believed that secures David's spot on the rsoter for the beginning of the season... Here's a blog about David -- Note Speak is a pretty informative blog, I've enjoyed most he's written. http://mvn.com/nhl-blues/2007/09/26/perron...make-the-blues/
  20. Was at the game tonight, David had a spectacular game, had beautiful positioning and two gorgeous feeds to Weight. David has a real chance at sticking around if his defensive game can become a little more solid, I've noticed he tends to be the lead offensive man out and because of that sometimes gets caught up and by the team he gets back on the backcheck the play has already set in. Regardless, I have to say I've been really impressed with his physical game.
  21. The team the Blues iced is 80% AHL bound. This is the definition of a pre-season try out game. Oh well, we get another go at it.
  22. With all the talk of the new jerseys, what does David feel about them? Talk about the horses mouth, we've got an MSHer who wears them at the highest level.. we should get an insiders opinion...
  23. That second picture is great... Love the tongue.
  24. Yeah, that's false. He played in the AHL game... I don't believe he played in the NHL game.
