  1. You obviously haven't seen the X6/X5/X4/X3 series up close. The ones I saw were quite good. Sorry I missed you at the booth again this year.
  2. Nylon has always been an option for retailers, same cost as portofino
  3. Most likely, yes. It depends on a couple of things. Shift one is very similar in terms of height to an S500. Note the extra space between the upper eyelets on the shift two.
  4. The sample at the show was not a regular production model
  5. A lower cut skate will allow you to extend your stride but some players are unable to change to a lower cut boot. I feel like I get a much better stride and agility when I have a lower cut boot, but I feel like I lose speed in a lower cut skate...I might have not given it enough of an opportunity A longer stride should give you more power and more speed. As long as you have the ankle strength to support yourself. Some guys need to make a change like that over the summer to build up their ankles before playing serious games.
  6. wow that is the worst add for the worst shit ive ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS A F****** JOKE I think some of you guys need to chill on the marketing of Warrior. I mean its just a hockey product. It's bad that some of you guys refuse to try a product just because of the way it advertised. I Just got my Starskie and I love it. By far one of the nicest sticks Ive used. If the Dolomites are made like my Starskie then I will be using Warrior for a long time. It been making me mad that some of you have been saying the Warrior sticks suck just because of how they look and the way thier advertised. A lot of us have tried the product, either when it was called the 1100 or the vapor XX.
  7. Damn near everyone had a camo product this year. I do like the new gloves, they're nice looking and have all the options that people are starting to expect at those price points.

  10. Intro The EP44 is a very solid and protective pad. I modified mine to fit my personal preferences by removing the upper bicep protection. Fit The EP44 has a bicep strap, upper forearm strap and a lower forearm strap that all help you get the pad as loose or as tight as you want. The EP44 also has a wide elastic piece that goes over your forearm on the inside of the pad. All of these things work together to allow you to customize the fit exactly the way you want it. 8/10 Protection Outstanding protection. I removed the upper bicep protection but my elbow is well protected and there is a hard plastic insert in the forearm piece to prevent injuries from slashes. Considering the depth of the elbow, I can't imagine any way that you could get injured there. 9/10 Weight I don't really notice the weight so they must not be bricks. I don't find them slipping down or sliding out of position due to the weight. Considering the size of the pads, they are remarkably light. 9/10 Durability I've only been wearing them for a month or so but I haven't noticed any real problems. Obviously, most pads should still be in great condition after the such a short time and these don't disappoint. This is an Incomplete for now, durability means more than just a month to me. Conclusion Nice pads, comfy, and very protective. What more could you want? They aren't a slim looking pad but they fit very snugly to the arm and the mobility is fantastic. Overall rating 8.6 for now
  11. I finally skated in all of them a couple of times and the answer is...... The customized S500s that Justin whipped up for me. They fit my foot perfectly, then again they should since they're custom. Before you ask, they are a deeper fit. If you look at the pair at the bottom of the steps you should notice that there is more material between the horizontal line of white stitching and the eyelets than on retail S500s. They are absolutely perfect for me. My only hope is that I will be able to get more when these wear out. If not, I'm going to baby the hell out of these things.
  12. Wow, you really left the face open on the follow-through on that slapper. (pic3 in the last post)
  13. Any shop that has A&R products can get them for you, around $8 A little later
  14. seriously, you think all that banter that easton puts in thier catalogue can be considered an accurate description? At least the warrior catalogue is hip. ;) Yeah but Easton uses names for everything and trademarks them so they must mean something. ;)
  15. Details like that aren't important. It's more important to have pics of pimps than to have weight and dimensions.
  16. If the lies are measuered the way the profiles are shown in the catalog, they will not play as listed. The toes on a couple of them are way off the ice.
  17. Kor Shift One, they buy the holder from Mission. It's a composite hockey skate, very protective and very good.
  18. first of many pics of my stuff.
  19. Mods...perhaps we could just pin "It comes out in the Spring" on top of all equipment related threads. Steve...It comes out in the Spring. You're assuming people would bother reading it.
  20. I have a list of the members who PM'd me last time we asked.

  22. I'm still using Adobe 6 and had no problems.
  23. Everything manufactured by Easton now has an massive-ass, IN-YOUR-FACE logo on it now. It's such an eyesore on their gloves - it just looks disproportionate. Yeah, but now everyone in the rink will know what brand you're wearing.
