The paint flaked off in big sections given the shiny/reflective properties but I didn't find the shaft or blade chipped particularly easy. The blade durability was junk though, but most loved the performance up to the point where the blade integrity got compromised.

The first gen RS with the oval hosel was brutal for durability, I remember kids in peewee and bantam that were breaking them off it seemed on a weekly basis. But the feel/performance was stellar for those that liked them. It wasn't until the S19 that they seemed to make them hold up a bit better.

I have never had a problem with the shafts on any of the elliptical shaft Stealth sticks. I actually just put my last pro stock Bennett Stealth CX into action for the first time last night. If that guy ever retires I'm going to be screwed trying to find another mild mid curve. Luckily, I just stocked up with a few of his Warrior pro stocks.

Ugh. Tested positive this morning. I don’t leave the house except for hockey and grocery shopping and walking the dogs. I always wear a mask when out, and keep one on (correctly!) all the time I’m in the rink and when playing, and only take it off to drink water.
Even when you are careful things can still happen, and we can’t control other people’s decisions/actions. Bummer.

    Stay safe, be smart.

And this is why I refuse to live a shut-in life during these times. Really the only 2 differences in my life pre-Covid and post-Covid is that I'm working remotely full time and that I wear a mask when unable to social distance. We're still dining out on the weekends and I've been golfing and playing hockey since both opened up. I look at this like driving. I can't control what everyone else does but if I pay attention and follow the proper precautions then I have a better than average shot of making it through okay.

  3. I was watching the BU game where he got paralyzed. I was on the phone with the now Mrs. when he went for a big hit and missed. She heard my "ooohhh" over the phone and asked what happened. I told her some kid just knocked himself cold. Then you could see that he was awake and you knew what had happened.

Travis could have sulked and vanished but instead became such a great inspiration and advocate. It is a huge loss that he is no longer with us.

I don't really see the logic in that statement.  Bauer was still releasing Easton S19's as far as the Vapor 1X Lite.  Easton's from 10 years ago.  Easton's not even dressed as "Easton's" anymore.  Post-merger.  And pro's in the NHL were still using them.  There are multiple GX, CX, HTX's, and V9E's available brand new for under $100.

Don't forget that the FlyLight or whatever is basically the love child of the Stealth and Vapor lines.

Some might recall I had three stents put in on March 2nd.  Been a great recovery - lost 24 lbs and got my Ldl down to 25 - but now I am feeling some "stuff" when exercising.  Weakness in left arm and chest "twinges."  It might all be in my head because I am insane but after consulting with my cardiologist I am going in for another angiogram next Monday (10/26).  Hoping its nothing. this time around.

Always smart to get things checked out. As I told you back in March, it would be sometime within the year that something would freak you out enough to get yourself checked. I am hopeful that what you're feeling is just age catching up with us. I learned after my event that between leaning heaviliy on my left elbow at work, steering mostly with the left hand and leaning on my left side when reading the Kindle in bed that I was creating a tight left chest and shoulder up into the neck. It worried me when it would twinge a few times at the gym. I learned to calm myself by recreating the feeling with movement but when my pulse was resting and my heart wasn't under stress.

My trip back was when I was driving to work and was just feeling disconnected. I thought I was getting lightheaded and was concerned something was happening. They kept me overnight, did a nuclear scan and stress echo and found nothing out of the ordinary.

I hope everything goes well for you. One way or another, I think you'll be very excitable come November 4th and I want you to be able to handle it.
