I understand, however, it is because of things like I stated that people get turned off by LHS. Its kind of like when people debate buying fake jerseys overseas and then the whole "shipping jobs overseas, keep money here" argument comes up.
My point wasn't anything remotely similar to what you imply with the fake jerseys. Clothing companies have used foriegn labor for years so I would never bring that item up in a debate of similar topics. My main point is the ideologies of some individuals are very hypocratic, they argue the operating principles of certain industries and business are unethical yet act in similar fashion when it comes to decisions and buying habits that affected an individuals finances...
In layman's terms, you can't go to the plumber or mechanic and use their tools or try their parts out to see if the fix your problems without paying for it, why should you be able to go to the LHS or similar business and do that?

Don't get me wrong it's a good thing to take some pride in your scores but it's not the end of the world if you don't do all that great. I went to high school with some people that were borderline window lickers that should wear the Mylec 24/7 and they ended up being some of the most successful people in my class.... GPA don't mean crap if you can't make a company money, unless you want in the medical field

Raise your hand if you were asked what you got on your ACT or SAT when you went on your job interviews when you graduated college, don't worry I'll wait.... No one gives a damn what you got on those tests after college. If you can get into the schools you want f it, you're wasting your time trying to get scores you think will look good to people cuz end the end the people that really matter in your career don't give a shit what you got on a standardized test

They got into an accident, and while there was no injury (reported) they were found with an open bottle vodka and empty beer cans in the car. It's the fact that when you google these players names the first thing that comes up is the news or their court summons. Not something that is really a good thing we want people to think of. It takes away all the positives of the article.I grew up playing against and with 2 of the players.......

Chadd,Had guys like that in the one Sunday AM rec league I played in years ago. Those guys were the "tough guys", you know.. never played organized hockey, but are out there head hunting. One guy claimed to be the toughest guy in the area JR. C league here (probably 20 yrs ago mind you). I guess for some the dream is never over. You know how all those scouts hang out at rec league games.......
Guys like that are hilarious, I led every team I played on in my junior career in penalty minutes(I also hold a league record, only person to take off my skate and try to stab someone) but since my competive career ended I don't think I've had a single minor for anything other than obstruction. Funny how guys like that claim to have played that role in their "Junior" career but anyone thats been around someone who has actually filled that role can tell you they left it on the ice in their last competive game except for your occasional Billy Tibbetts type nut case

Game last night:Towards the end of the first period, we start to break out of our defensive zone. I get the pass while at full (turtle) speed and get past the checker. Make a GREAT move on the defenseman at the blue line for a breakaway. Come down on the goalie, deke him out of his jock.... then fall on my ass before I can get a shot off.
Set the tone for a jailhouse-style loss 10-3. It wasn't even as close as the scoreboard says.

Dear Annoying Cousins & Accompanying Kids,
When you ask someone what time they need the bathroom in the morning to get ready for work they tend to think that they will be able to access it during said time needed. Waking up and finding you in the bathroom when I need to get ready to go to my meeting sure pisses me off when I told you several times I needed to get ready. IRS saying my refund was deposited Jan. 28th, no sign of it according to my bank...... Love $2500 of mine just floating around no where to be foundUPDATE...... Oh, Hey thanks JPMorgan Chase for returning my refund back to the IRS because the routing number was messed up. I like spending all morning on the phone with people that don't speak english because you couldn't take two seconds to find the right routing number to the unique checking account number that matches the info on the check and account number it should have been deposited into
Sorry to hear about the mix up, but your bank absolutely cant change that information. The direct deposit came in from a third party with incorrect info, so they must send it back by law. If you e-filed, you might want to check what you put in for the routing number to see if it was correct. Not your banks fault one bit. It was either you or the IRS.
For some reason, I don't know if I've never used it before for direct deposit or not but the routing number on my checks is not the same as the one for my state and I'm assuming that would be the issue.... But oh well guess I'll have to sit out by the mailbox and wait for the good ole fashion paper check

Custom X:60 L: 6EEA R: 6 1/4 EEA... Double stitched, reinforced eyelets and rows, high vamping, extra material in the uppers, extra later of dual density foam in the liner.... Suppose to have oversized toe caps but that was left off, the forgot to put one logo on the left skate lol and they put a nike bauer logoed outsole... Happy with them but not a totally seamless fitVery nice but I would return because of the logo, just my opinion.
You guys would really wait another 4 weeks because of a logo?

Happy with them but not a totally seamless fityou payed top dollar for customs. if they don't fit you like a glove and aren't built to your specs (and not to mention missing logos), i'd return them. I just got traced for custom skates myself, if they weren't to my specs, I'd be pissed!
The only thing not done that I asked for was the toe caps and I had them stretched and the problems were solved.... I hope you don't expect the fit to be a 100% perfect cuz you might be disappointed.. They're hand made of the closest last, not everything is gonna come out perfect... For $75 over retail I'm more than happy with them

Anybody else think that if it was another Pens player we'd be Keith sitting for a game or so? Being someone thats had to stop playing a sport because of concussions I never want to see someone take a shot to the head like that but do you think Keith wasn't suspended to teach Cooke a little lesson?

Not to knock Geno but with the way he has been playing this is gonna be better for the team more than it hurts it.... he hasn't played well all year so it's better for him to shut it down till it heals, imagine how good they're gonna be when he gets healthy again

Don't get me wrong, I'll do them, and the guy will be 100% satisfied. We get a few repeat offenders, who like to use us as an internet fitting station.That's a whole other story lol........ I'll foreshadow by saying I'm a shop regular, on a first name basis with everyone know what I need when I go in the shop all you have to do for me is ring it up and take my money..... so I went into my shop the other day to finally do my fitting for customs, I sit and wait for over an hour for the fitting and when they finally come over to me he hands me the measuring tape, brannock device, order form and tells me to fill it on and let him know when I'm done..... Now luckily for me I knew what I was doing and knew what I wanted with my skates but what if I didn't? I'm trying to hand them $800 on the spot for a pair of skates I'll get in 4-6 weeks and they make me wait a hour and then have me fit myself. I guarantee this happens to customers all the time, so if you aren't getting the one on one service why pay the extra money in the store?

what I meant by that is they don't have to try and sell me something, when I go in I know what I want but if I'm ordering custom skates because I've gone through 4 pair in the last year trying to find one that works I expected a little more than being tossed the stuff to do it myself

I'm a die hard penguins fan..... I'm at a playoff game vs. the Canes in a Pens jersey with my buddy whos mom works for Compuware so he's obviously a Canes fan so he's in a Staal Canes jersey, so retard 25-30yr old night shift McDonalds manager that still lives in mommy's basement comes up to me with his buddy and tries to start a fight with me and my buddy because "I'm hanging out with the enemy". I had a few choice words with him which included me commenting on the penguins tennis shoes he had on and me telling him that I'd fight him but his life clearly sucks enough as it is and I didn't want to beat the dead horse..... Moral of the story is Chadd is right, I've seen less retards at a special olympics event than at a Pens home game.

What is so horrible about a guy asking for skates to be baked? Simply do it for him for a reasonable price, offer good service while doing it for him and then you've just increased your customer base by 1.Exactly, I understand the reason why lhs employees are steamed in situations like this but why don't you try to give the shopper a reason to return to your store instead of making them think they made the right decision by buying online...... Sometimes you just gotta bite your tongue and do what's best to get future sales for your store

Where will you guys go to try your gear on when it no longer makes economical sense for the lhs to carry product? Think the online stores will ship you the gear to try on for free so you can then see where you can find it the cheapest?
