  1. You'll never catch Easton commenting on it because home baking voids skate warranty. MLX didn't have authorized dealers, so they had no choice but to show people how to bake them at home. So once again, it is suggested you take them into a store to get them baked. And if you didn't buy the skates from them, keep a receipt of the baking for reference.
  2. They collaborated with Blackstone and universities' studies. For all intents and purposes, they did indeed do their homework. As Jeff said (in a way) nobody really paid attention to steel. Most people don't know what their ROH is, let alone their blade radius. Sometimes I feel we live in a bubble here on MSH, but you have to think globally in this situation - I applaud them for bringing the subject to light. I think you're reading that wrong...they are talking about shorter turning radius, not shorter blade height.
  3. ...and with Bauer's LS3. At the very worst, it's made them aware that people are taking better steel seriously.
  4. I saw he signed up. Maybe he'll clear up the confusion.
  5. In a lot of cases, it's the EQM...not the player. More common holders means less things to carry on a trip. It's a convenience factor for those guys, especially on a new holder. They're going to trust what they know.
  6. The ones I tried in Vegas were same as my Supreme size. Chadd is one size down from me so that would make sense.
  7. Does sense always prevail though?
  8. You may want to try 95/75 next...might be the bite you are looking for. I assume the nick happened after hitting something...
  9. Chadd will be reviewing them for MSH. He should be getting them in the next few days.
  10. One, I have been told, they will enforce.

  13. It's a stick spec made for those leagues as those players don't have the options a pro does - they get to pick pattern, flex and grip type; they're bought in bulk by the team, and since budgets aren't deep, it's made to be more robust than standard retail models. Bauer does the same thing for NCAA as well; their SE version.
  14. Thanks for the clarification. I mistook for intermediate.
  15. Do understand that writing reviews gets you considered for Long-Term Reviews, which is when we provide product for you to review. In almost all circumstances, we will not consider your application for a LTR if you haven't submitted a regular review.
  16. Yeah, actually, you are right. On second look, the 70 has a TPR outsole and the lower-grade steel.
  17. Yeah, how it's been done for years, using a measuring device like a Brannock or stick. The only reason why you had to trace your foot for MLX is because they didn't have such a device, because it wasn't sold in stores.
  18. That is false; of course there is a set type - the boot has a shape, doesn't it? That was the most misleading statement made when those skates were around. There is no "one skate fits all" out there. Sorry.
  19. I bought the same jock and love it. I also own two other AC830s.
  20. We did the M-1s on CB, the HE750s on MSH. I still have the CB M-1s, the 750s I had made got ruined.
