Um you're comparing them to nylon... Agreed on the soft part, however the glove has dual density foams as well as plates...

The palm is real thin too...and it doesn't feel like regular nash. It almost feels like suede...

The tips are silicone. Supposed to increase grip. I honestly wouldn't know as I have not played with the gloves. The palm is nash with a tackified goatskin strip in the middle. The gussets are digital.

They did it. Custom cuff as well, it was shortened 1/2". I should've gone lower - I'm debating sending these off to fixitbymail.com and getting them even lower.

First off, GOOD LUCK finding someone who'll push in that order. Second of all, that is a MAJOR insult to Chadd and Justin, who have been trying to do the current order. And third of all, you CANNOT use our logo without permission.

Bauer 8090 Background - 6', 225, wide forefoot, regular heel, small arch. Introduction - The boys at Bauer RR&D saw my S500 post and decided to offer me a pair of 8090s based on my foot type, along with a field tester's handbook which I have to fill out and return after the evaluation. I ended up dropping a half size and a width in these. The 8090 has a Supreme-type liner, a Nike V12 outsole and a XX tongue - very good features. Fit - Very nice fit. The toecap was very wide and the heel locked in my foot well. I baked them and skated in them the next day. I ended up having lacebite problems which went away around the 4th skate in them. It took me a bit to break them in, due to the fact that I have not skated in Bauers in 7 years. 8/10 Blade/Holder - This is what gave me fits. I usually skate in a 9' F radius, and the first thing I did was to set it at that. However, the boot pitch still had me on my heels - which was quite embarrassing because I was falling all over the place, just standing up normally. I ended up dismounting the back rivets and sliding in an 1/8" lift in both skates. It corrected the problem. However, I have sold 8090s and have had to do fwd pitches on 4 of them, and these are skaters who always skated in neutral pitches in other BNH skates. 7/10 Weight - The 8090 is currently the lightest skate on the market. It felt like I had nothing on my feet. 10/10 Protection - Very good protection. Bauer always has shined in this category. 10/10 Durability - Bauer finally got the weight/durability ratio down on this skate. No signs of breaking down, and is still stiff. Very well crafted. 10/10 Conclusion - Coming from skating in low-cut, softer stiffness, forward pitched boots for 7 years (Graf 705/Pure Fly/S500) it took me a while to get used to cornering and striding in these. Part of it was the blade, but to try to achieve a little more forward flex I was forced to unlace the top eyelet. I also have longer shin pads due to the boots that I was wearing previously. However, if you currently skate in Bauer boots, you'll love these. Easily their best skate. Thanks to Ken and Chris over at BNH RR&D for the trial. Very good job on the skates, guys. I hope that my feedback on here as well as the tester's handbook helps you guys now and in the long run. 9.5/10

No nylon. I think the Helium material is pretty bad-ass and the glove is sickly light anyway. Plus the logo can't be silkscreened cleanly onto the knit I believe.

Depends on what you're getting.

It's going to be standard yellow. The choices were either that or Atlanta yellow, which looks too peachy on black. It looks better on a blue glove.
