finally got power back so here is my loot from a recent trip to the shop.
XXXXpro gloves, RBK pro hurricanes pants, Easton S9 helmet, one90 blade (p106), one95 stick (87 flex p106)

finally got to skate in the fbv tonight. went with 90/75 on my v08's. all i can say is WOW. Only fell once B) . only took a few minutes to adjust, and everything was just so smooth. Turns, stops, everything. I noticed i was weaving through defenders like ive never been able to before. Cant wait to skate again! Will be mailing out my spare set of rocket runners for the fbv treatment asap!

thanks. got em on ebay. Wanted a pair exactly like this for a while myself. Saw some 13" rangers colors, and several in montreal colors, but i really wanted a white cuff.

since its a 2 hour drive for me, i tend to shop online more often than not. But i never get to use the shop as a 'fitting room'. When i make the trip there, its usually with a purpose of getting skates, or i know i want to make several purchases of different gloves/sticks getting a couple each at a time. I'll shop online, but its almost always closeout and older models of things (except skates). But i try to give as much of my money to the shop as possible, cause they've been more than helpful.

What do you guys think? I took the Jofa and came out with what is on the Intake helmet. Thought I did pretty good for my first time with a dremel.kinda look like goggles :P but pretty cool.

I also have a Honda Element. Great hockey vehicle, lots of room in the back and all wheel drive makes sure I get to the rink on crappy days.I named it - his name is Stampy, after Barts elephant, its a dark metalic grey. I even got some lettering over the web that matches the Honda font and stuck it on the back.
Suprised how many people get the reference. I never named vehicles until I bought a car from a Newfy, he told me her name was "Happy" and to look after her.
100 years of wind tunnel testing and amazing advances in aerodynamic drag went right out the window when Honda built a vehicle that looks like it is constructed out of Lego's. ;)

haha no the mustang just wasnt cutting it. Not really any particular reason other than working a good job at a hospital, wanted some decent reliable transportation, and felt like changing things up. the stang Needed some work done and just couldnt carry people/ hockey gear 'comfortably'. The xB is just crazy awesome to drive. Tons of room for stuff, people, and its kinda ugly. Perfect. :P

Do the Maltbys come with straps that hook up to elbow pads?
nope no strap, but some extra plastic near the palms. hurts a lot less when i skate up and slap people then skate away now. :D

I'm pretty sure the hawks ones are just custom colors- thats the retail cuff, not the pro stock cuff.Easy to tell. The custom color ones say NBHpro on them.dually noted. thanks guys. still very pleased with them but its good to know, since i do think i like this cuff a bit more. cant wait to use them saturday.

the pro stock hawks are NICE. where'd you get those? ebay?
got em from eastwesthockey. doublelayered palm, plastic inserts, a little thicker cuff. i love them.

havent played in them yet but they fit real nice, feel like tanks. Very comfortable.
