good news, thanks blue!

Anyone seen any injury updates? I've scanned the main news outlets, but as a non Blues fan I'm not sure which are the best papers/rumour blogs and sites to check up on.

David's AK looks awesome. Very classy look. http://images.cbssports.com/u/gettyimages/...01_1024x768.jpg

just enough to tease eh JR.

what don't you agree with? It was a clean hit, Oshie was just finishing his check. Nash is a big boy and should be able to protect himself against someone who is 5'11 185. skating half the rink making a bee line right at nash, a little bit of a charging call... the contact was clean though. having watched it a few more times not quite as bad, he didn't skate the whole way
-
don't really agree with Oshie running Nash in the first instance, but was impressed with him putting Nash down when he tried to run him in return. David's goal was very nice!

Oops, pinky stripe, not pink stripe. thanks for clearing rustpot!
-
My screen must be way off, i'm just seeing a red stripe, or maybe it's just the thought of having some red stripe tonight..?
-
I'm starting to see a couple Perron to Pittsburgh threads on various message boards...

Miseaujeu: I think the presentation definately helps and its a shame that type of product presentation video isn't on the official site so you can actually get some detail and see the pads in action, especially with warrior being new to the pad market. I was also going to suggest that the youtube vid was actually a warmup for JR, but you kinda beat me to it.

I don't think Tkachuk was saying anything malicious at all, just making an observation. As cam said, there are a group of penguin players playing socom on their flights, whilst others make their own entertainment, there are just more options these days, and i'm sure it's the same on each and every team. I'm glad he gave an interesting answer as I like the insight into what happens off the ice too, but I think it's possibly taken the wrong way.

I know it's childish, but that made me laugh. Anyways, personally i'd choose the Pitch steel over LS2 steel, and I think it would be great if they did start using the Pitch steel, but I doubt they'll overhaul the steel anytime soon, maybe given a bit more time..?

HG is showing a different one95, shaft and I think it has a decidedly different, more old school feel to it in terms of font and design http://hockeygiant.com/nbhs95shftsr.html

That's great news!! Shame he couldn't somehow compete in the breakaway challenge too...

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion

of course opinion counts, the fact i don't like black is my PP so that doesn't mean that either PP is any more valid than the other.- 2845 replies

I think i'm in the minority - I don't see what the fuss is about the black TUUKS, I much prefer the white- 2845 replies

one of the things i was looking forward to seeing was the performance under apparel to see how they were going to move forward with the absence of Nike and to see how much, if any of the technologies would carry over. FRom what i see on paper it still looks to be a strong line up, any comments from those of you who have seen any in person?

Could you imagine some kind of vetran vs youngstar dangle/ breakaway move competition, i can just see David vs Kovalev... On another note, as i was catching up on my podcasts tonight there was an interview with Larry Pleau on one of my team 1040 (vancouver sports radio) and he singled out David by name as one of the guys that has stepped up this year with all the injuries, and believes him to have a long and bright future in teh league, so thought that was worth mentioning

I used the original tuuk rocker and hated it. it was so heavy it wasn't worth having it no matter how close to skating on ice it was. i'd consider using the composite version, but i think the clunky first edition did enough damage to the concept
-
ok so i found some skates on ebay billed as kovalev XXXX white out skates. I thought maybe they were modified eastons because of the composite constrution, but i thought the bauer logo to be curious, so are these perhaps the new x60 style saktes in disguise? discuss. Edit: as they've already been posted and discussed a few times already, taken the photos off.

Those gloves still pop up at my local Oakley outlet from time to time for $40. I had a Mission Carbster and I hated it. I had sweat dripping off my face after the first shift with that thing and it seemed like it went down too far on my neck. I agree that the Carbster was a bust in a lot of ways, but on a personal note i loved mine
