  1. I'm starting to see a couple Perron to Pittsburgh threads on various message boards...
  2. Great article. Hope DP is ok after havin Belak go thorugh him last night!
  3. Miseaujeu: I think the presentation definately helps and its a shame that type of product presentation video isn't on the official site so you can actually get some detail and see the pads in action, especially with warrior being new to the pad market. I was also going to suggest that the youtube vid was actually a warmup for JR, but you kinda beat me to it.
  4. I don't think Tkachuk was saying anything malicious at all, just making an observation. As cam said, there are a group of penguin players playing socom on their flights, whilst others make their own entertainment, there are just more options these days, and i'm sure it's the same on each and every team. I'm glad he gave an interesting answer as I like the insight into what happens off the ice too, but I think it's possibly taken the wrong way.
  5. I know it's childish, but that made me laugh. Anyways, personally i'd choose the Pitch steel over LS2 steel, and I think it would be great if they did start using the Pitch steel, but I doubt they'll overhaul the steel anytime soon, maybe given a bit more time..?
  6. HG is showing a different one95, shaft and I think it has a decidedly different, more old school feel to it in terms of font and design http://hockeygiant.com/nbhs95shftsr.html
  7. those Kohos are nice!! :)
  8. That's great news!! Shame he couldn't somehow compete in the breakaway challenge too...
  9. of course opinion counts, the fact i don't like black is my PP so that doesn't mean that either PP is any more valid than the other.
  10. I think i'm in the minority - I don't see what the fuss is about the black TUUKS, I much prefer the white
  11. one of the things i was looking forward to seeing was the performance under apparel to see how they were going to move forward with the absence of Nike and to see how much, if any of the technologies would carry over. FRom what i see on paper it still looks to be a strong line up, any comments from those of you who have seen any in person?
  12. Could you imagine some kind of vetran vs youngstar dangle/ breakaway move competition, i can just see David vs Kovalev... On another note, as i was catching up on my podcasts tonight there was an interview with Larry Pleau on one of my team 1040 (vancouver sports radio) and he singled out David by name as one of the guys that has stepped up this year with all the injuries, and believes him to have a long and bright future in teh league, so thought that was worth mentioning
  13. Those green E-Frames are my all time faves. I'm still using the Sher-Wood branded ones but looking to get some sprungs on my next setup
  14. I used the original tuuk rocker and hated it. it was so heavy it wasn't worth having it no matter how close to skating on ice it was. i'd consider using the composite version, but i think the clunky first edition did enough damage to the concept
  15. ok so i found some skates on ebay billed as kovalev XXXX white out skates. I thought maybe they were modified eastons because of the composite constrution, but i thought the bauer logo to be curious, so are these perhaps the new x60 style saktes in disguise? discuss. Edit: as they've already been posted and discussed a few times already, taken the photos off.
  16. Those gloves still pop up at my local Oakley outlet from time to time for $40. I had a Mission Carbster and I hated it. I had sweat dripping off my face after the first shift with that thing and it seemed like it went down too far on my neck. I agree that the Carbster was a bust in a lot of ways, but on a personal note i loved mine
  17. If you need anyone to look after your skates during the recovery.... ;) just kidding But seriously have a speedy recovery!!!
  18. Good luck David, fantastic to see where you've gotten too!!!
  19. This was in the CHL junior hockey section, who's hot and who's not: Québec Major Junior Hockey League Hot offensive player: David Perron, Lewiston MAINEiacs The rookie forward has made a name for himself as he prepares to enter the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft. But before the draft, Perron will be competing for one of the hardest trophies to win in sports. Perron's two goals and one assist in Games 3 and 4 of the league finals helped lead his team to their first QMJHL championship and they will now play for the Memorial Cup. congrats, all the best in Vancouver!
  20. The resin may have also degraded the toe cap where you applied it, but damn they look like they've taken some pounding!
  21. I could see those being popular on here, but not particularly in retail. If white retail skates were in such demand surely Graf and CCM would've made their whites available, Nike tried it...i'm not a fan myself, but good find.
  22. Thanks to everyone involved with the scanning of these catalogues.
