Sher-wood Helmet?

Recommended Posts

One of those things you find if you root around the internet long enough. Who knew they made one of these.

I don't think it's certified, almost completely positive of that, but it looks like your head could breath great in this thing. Might be neat to use for stick & puck sessions, but never a game. It's a lot like a Bauer. Where would one get one of these anyway?

My friend has one of the Vic helmets and he loves it. They had a really soft liner that was much more comfortable than the foam in your Bauer 3000 / CCM HT2 type helmets. I'd go so far as to say that it's one of the two nicest liners in helmets that I've tried, along with the more recent Jofa 690's - though I haven't had a chance to try on the new Bauer and Reebok lids yet.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that they were certified.

Know where to get one? If it's certified or not, if it's as comfortable as your friend says, I might like one just to goof around in.

It's definately the return of that Vic!

No idea where you'd get them now - it was a couple of years ago that he got his. I don't think Vic have been making helmets (if anything) for a couple of years now, so you'd probably have to find a place with a bunch of old stock. Or you could try the new Sherwood helmet, assuming it has the same liner and not just the same shell.
