Are Mission Flyweight's tapered?

I have a flyweight shaft and it came with a mission radiant comp blade. I took the blade out to put a Vapor XV in and realised that it fits standard blades. I always thought they were the T-flex of Mission?

There were some prostock ones that accept standard blades, but no, the Flyweight is supposed to be tapered.

Oh crap I thought it was a retail Int. because it was shorter than the others I guess the pro using it was just shorter? I actually never realised it was standard and I've been using a synthesis and tapered 1100.

I think your stick was cut. Above the taper.

Either that or its a pro stock standard which would mean it would be shorter to begin with to compensate for the fact that it accepts standard long hosel blades.

Is there anything marked on the shaft like 12-9, 10-7, or 8-5?

There was a 8-5 before I retaped it and it came off.

Sounds like the retail intermediate shaft to me. It's 4 inches shorter than the senior shafts to begin with. These may be stupid questions but I just want make sure...

1. Did you put the blade in the right end?

2. Did you buy a junior XV blade?

Yes I put the blade in the right end. It is a senior XV blade(now in my int 1100 tapered)

Strange. Never seen a retail intermediate flyweight that was standard. Maybe some pro (a short one at that) back in the day wanted a really flexy standard shaft.
