you lay the stick on flatground, then u stand the quarter on its side and if it goes under the blade its definately illegal,i think the rule is if anything bigger than a nickel fits through its illegal

it really shouldnt be legal i could almost fit a quarter under it

We don't have illegal curves up in Albuuuurta anymore. It's sweet.

theres not really a rule anymore around here but if someone scores like 10 goals in a period and youre curve is illegal you get kicked out of the game.(our refs suck)

I hust recently got an Easton Stealth with the Gaborik curve. I actually like it a lot. It was given to me by a friend that plays pro and when I first saw it I laughed. On the ice it was great. I'm used to the Sakic pattern but the switch was painless. However, several friends have tried out my stick and hated the pattern. My only complaint about the stick is that it is rated as a 100 flex but plays more like a 90. Anyways, if you get the opportunity, try out the Gaborik curve...it might work for you.

i dont understand how people can use curves like that, if i used a blade that open id be hitting the score board, i use a francis and from the blueline usually roof it with either a wrist or slap shot, or it goes over. i get power on them, but probably doing something wrong. But as iv heard many say, you only use big curves if you cant shoot anyway :)

I don't recall an old yzerman, didn't it go from the Daniel Tkczuk to Yzerman?

Yzerman before it was renamed to Gaborik....thats whats hes referring to

Other than the lie, they appear to be similar. Since Easton offers the Yzerman and the Gaborik, it doesn't appear to be a replacement.

the gaborik is the replacement in easton for all there sr. composite sticks. he woodies and hybrids are still available in yzerman but there trying to phase out the yzerman curve slowly since he may be retiring soon and thats where there phasing the gaborik in as the replacement

So let me get this straight. All in this one post you've explained that you can't really shoot, that you can't understand how people can use big curves, and then you go on to say that big curves are for people that can't shoot??? Shouldn't you get a Gaborik then?

maybe i should have read through it first before i posted it, ill put it another way, the bigger the curve the more out of control my shots are, and the worse the slap shots. Am i the only one with this problem?

It's a common problem. The people who have been using huge curves since they were little kids do better with big curves.
