Stealth or Si-core?

Recommended Posts

It depends on if you like the feel of the SiCores or not. From a money point of view, if they are the same price your better off with the Stealth.

They're two totally different sticks. The Stealth's blade is described as having a "hot face," while the Si-Core has silicon strips inside the blade in order to "deaden" the stick. It all depends on what kind of response and feel you're looking for.

At the same time, if you could get a Ferrari for the same price as a Corvette you'd be foolish to pass on the Ferrari.

I'd rather have a Synergy with everything I like (curve,flex,length) than a Stealth that doesn't work for me.

In my opinion, other than the incorrect flex rating with the Stealth's (i.e. 100 flex feels like 85-90) they are superior to the obsolete Synergy's. I have not had a chance to try out an SL although I've heard good things. Has anyone used a 110 flex Stealth?

If you haven't looked into the SL, i would. It has held up a little better from what i've seen and is almost as light as the stealth. Not as expensive also.

Both the SL and Stealth feel very lively......if you don't have adequate hands it will be like playing ping pong. I absolutely loved my SL while it lasted. Felt unbelievably crisp when shooting and passing, and puckhandling/catching passes was like the puck was on a string.

What he said, the blade is as hot as Marissa on the OC. Mine is getting soft on me lately, so I'll have to pick up another or possibly a stealth. It's jumpy coming from a Si-Core, but you adjust and eventually will feel the puck like you're using a woodie.

As for your comparison, from my extensive use;

Stealth>>>Si-Core.
