I like working there, its much better then working at mcdonalds, or safeway or subway like my friends. me too, but i just quit. going on vacation for a month, and they wouldnt give me time off. sport chek is moving to high end stuff now. they are getting in the new stuff in soon. like the reebok 5k, xxx, most of them have the sl's and st's already. Are you sure?The way it worked when I was there was min wage. Commission was at 4%, if yours daily sales, per hour, was more than minimum wage, then you got the commission rate. If it was under, you got min. It sucked because I'd often open and close on the weekends so thats 2 hours a day of $0/hrThe inventory depends on the story as well, I've seen XXs in places, while my store didn't have anything aboe an X. Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted July 19, 2005 I wasn't at mine very long at all, I got offered a one day employee discount because we wouldn't have gotten our discount by X-mas and it allowed the new crew to buy gifts cheaper. I thought it was like 2 pairs of shopes a year were 50% off. Clothes maybe 40%. I didn't think it was cost, but I worked there at least 2 years ago. I know when I was hired, they said we were the last of Sportchek to be hired on commission and there was a big debate on whether or not I was even commission. I had certain managers wanting me to do odd jobs instead of sell because they didn't think my pay depended on it. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
