Well since there both supposed to be top quality I would say they would have to be pretty good. Im actually taking off my T-blades today to put on some Lightspeeds.

What skates did you have t'blades on? I have used t'blades for the past few years an loved them. LS2's are my only sharpening blade for about 2-3 years.

If you like the skates and the holders get them. You should get gear because of the way it performs, not because of appearances or what other people will think of your gear. It's a sport, not a fashion show.

For me, neither piece works for me or suits the way I play. Your experience may differ, or may be the same.

LS2 with a profilage(profiled like the t,blades) are way better and cost less money than buying runner each time...

EDIT: And if you think they will be more ligther...well i tried both of them...both 280mm size...and i have to admit...they are pretty the same...i even felt that the LS was ligther...and since you have the XXX you have a ligther blade with the perf.

i have them profiled with M-13...but i feel like it too sharp...maybe the guys just sharpened them too sharp...because i'm used to the M-11 Even M-9...i hated the M-13 on t,blades....

by the way M is 11 radius..

Are you asking or stating that LS/LS2's aren't that great ? Personally, I don't like them--they are supposed to be 4mm higher to give you better cornering and a little lighter than regular TUUK's. I like my trustly TUUK+'s.

I've skated on tuuk custom+ for many years prior to skating on the Lightspeed, and IMO the Lightspeed blows away the Custom+ in terms of edge, edge life and overall sharpness.

Hockeypunk - I dunno about that...the old Canadian-made Tuuk steel was amazing.

The steel and the screw is the difference. The steel is much cleaner-made and the screw is like the old Tuuk + screw, yet longer and magnetized.

RE lightspeed. There is nothing "great" about them. In comparison to last year's bauer blades, the Lightspeed 2 have better steel, and seem to break in half a lot less. A lot of older bauer blades cracked right around the middle, usually during a playoff game!
