Bauer 4000

I have a bauer 4000 helmet and i had it for a year and now it is cracked... will bauer replace it??? it is cracked around the screw at the top of the helmet for adjusting it i have a picture i made in photoshop that shows it pretty well but i dont konw how to put it in the post

Well I cant help you on the warrenty but that has been a common problem on the 4000.

You tightened it too much. It happens very often.

Helmet is under warranty. Contact LHS and have them get an RA # to return and replace the helmet.

what if i dont have a receipt (sp?) or anything?

Bauer has a sticker inside helmet that is dated to the helmet's manufacturing date. I'm out of the shop for a few days but I believe the helmet has a 3 year or so warranty, believe it or not. I have previously returned and had replaced other Bauer helmets with the same problem. These returned helmets were totally beaten up by house leaguers-squirts- but BNH replaced them with no questions asked. This has been my experience with the helmet under warranty. If you do enough business at the LHS the guy should know you as a good customer and want to take care of you. This is why it is important to shop at your LHS, NOT ONLINE. My motto in the shop is "with the sale, comes the service." See what kind of guy he really is.
