Easton Blades compared with others Blades

Recommended Posts

it all depends on the type of blade it is, being a tapered or standard. some companies make different length hosels in their blades .

sorry but thats all i could do for you

I think it depends on model, the CCM V60 blade had a shorter hosel while the v20 had a standard hosel and I have also seen a koho blade that has shorter hosel but not all of them are like that.

Yes absolutely! It's a pain in the ass too. I like to try different blades, but all my sticks are cut to the length with Zcarbon blades in them. So when I put another blade in (Bauer X, CCM, Innovative retail, Louisville PTC) they have have shorter hosels so the shaft becomes a bit small. Sometimes it's not so bad like with Innos but the Bauer and CCM were considerably smaller. The only one I have that is longer than the Zcarbon is my Pro Stock Kovalev Innovative. That thing is just too long (umm, right, haha).

I'm not sure why this is. The only thing I can think of is that the longer hosel makes the Focus Flex more snappy. Just a guess.

Yes, the lenghts I was referring to were all standard. From what I've seen, most of the tapered shafts are the same length...except the Christian blades I just got from Chadd. They are at least 1/2 longer than most others.

The 5 lie blades have longer hosels than the 5.5 lie blades.
