All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2005 MAn these things suck....i work on peoples hockey equiptment all the time and this one helmet took me 3 hours to complete....the screw holders on this helmet twist inside the padding so your screw will just keep spinning....all of them are like this...it took me 1.5 hours to just get a cage attached cause the screws it comes with are to short and the ones that you find that are long enough...the screw holder still spins...it took me another 1.5 hours just to get the helmet adjusted to my head because you have to get four screws lined up correct and the helmet cant be slightly lop sided or they all fall in the helmet and you have to start over. I paid 50 for this helmet and its worth 15. and yes.....this helmet is brand new....no decals. This is by far the sh!%%!&$% helmet ive ever worked with DOnt get one....and tell me if youve had these same problems with this helmet.....I just settled after an hour and a half of fiddlin with it...it doesnt even fit me right....but if i undo one screw its gonna take another hour and a half....... Chadd 916 Report post Posted September 14, 2005 I've sold dozens of them this year and have yet to have a single problem. Sounds like the problem is you.
EricG. 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2005 Same thing happened to one of mine. It's not possible to get a cage on when that happens.
jjtt99 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2005 I use an HC 95, but with a visor. It put the HX50 system on it when it was brand new and didn't have any problems.JJ
Jason Harris 31 Report post Posted September 14, 2005 That sounds similar to my helmet. This may seem obvious, but are you using screwdrivers on both sides? The inside screwdriver holds the nut while the outer screwdriver tightens it.
EricG. 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2005 Wasn't this the problem Itech fixed on the 2005 models?
All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2005 What im talkin about...i dont know the exact name for these parts ....but the part that holds the screw in...and it cant come outa the helmet...there would be too much room between the padding and these screw holders...and so the problem was....everytime i would line up the screw holder and the screw to adjust my helmet....it would slide..cause of the too much room...it sounds simple..but to get both lined up right and not have one of them slide....or if you get the first onne done..and your helmet moves while your adjusting it...the second screw holder slides and you have too take it all over agian...just a pain in the butt..compared to the bauer 5000. thats all....
