What pants are really short in length?

Recommended Posts

I need to buy some new pants because i've lost about 50 pounds and my old pants just don't even stay on my anymore because they're too big. When I bought my Tackla 9000's I purposely bought the "short" version and even then they were too long so I had to have them custom shortened by FixItByMail, it was a whole 2 month ordeal and cost a lot of money and I don't want to go through that again with my new pair of pants.

I don't care about the brand, special features, whatever, I just need a pair of pants that are pretty short compared to most other pants. One of the most annoying things is having to play with pants that hang over your shinpads, I like my pants very short.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Another thought is inside zippers. My pants are longer than preferred -- since the waist is wider than preferred  -- but I don't notice any constriction since I leave them unzippered.

I just went to my LHS and ended up buying Bauer 4000's. The length was PERFECT and overall the pants were just really lightweight and almost felt like a girdle that's how light they were, i'm sure they'll be even better once broken in. I also tried on Reebok 6K's, Nike's, CCM's, Mission M-1 and L-3's... was was kind of surprised how bulky and heavy the 6K and L3 were, almost twice as heavy as the Bauer 3000 although i'm sure they both have better protection. The CCM 652's felt like I had card board duct taped to my legs .

In about a month after a bunch of practices and games, i'll write up a full review on the Bauer 4000's.

I had a pair of Easton Snergy 900's and found them slightly shorter as well. Nice pants but only had them on a test drive for a couple of sessions from my LHS. I ended up settling for a pair of Tacklas because they where considerably longer on the pant length and they had the segmengated waist with the spine protector. Go for a newer model of Eastons or try the new Reebok pants or Mission pants. Both are adjustable on the leg length. Ask your local hockey shop and they'll give you the details.
