Rubber Electrical Tape

Recommended Posts

I never knew it existed but I found some rubber electrical tape at work. It's made by Scotch. I candy cane'd my stick with it and worked pretty good. It's really stretchable and not too grippy. Surface feels kinda like a bicycle inner tube. The adhesive isn't super strong either like regular electrical tape so it will be easy to take off without leaving residue. Again, it's really stretchy so you can make it as thin as you want. You can pretty much stretch it into a string.

Just thought I'd pass it along.

If you want grip on your stick...don't go with a gimmick....get the Easton Tackyfying Cloth.

It's the best I've seen after many years of Candy Canning my sticks.

It is rubber but it doesn't get all over your gloves. For me, it's just right. I'm not big on most grips that come with sticks as i find them too grippy. It's a good balance and it doesn't ruin your gloves. I have just tried it a couple games and it's held up fine. Not sure where to get it but Home Depot must have some.

Ya, with not grip sticks it feels like the shaft rotates in my hands when i try to shoot sometimes. Cant stand it. Isnt that tacky cloth like a beeswax mess? I would rather have a rubbery tacky grip like eastons or rbk.

How often do you have to use it? Before every game, between shifts, etc.?
