Anyone know how to transfer Music comp>comp?

Yeah, have a LOT of songs on my desktop computer on iTunes that i need to transfer into my new laptop i just bought. I'm pretty clueless on this right now...i figured out how to get everything onto here that i need except music....

I'm using a wireless connection to my desktop's Internet right now.

assuming you have no security on the desktop and you're running some flavor of Windows:

using the laptop go to start/run and type in CMD

then type //desktop computer name/c$

Find songs and copy to the laptop. It will take quite a while over a wireless.

I had the same situation. What I did was burn all my songs onto cd/dvds and then just copied the songs from the disc.

If you have an ipod, just download a program like iPod ripper or something like that. Or if you have a network, just drag and drop them onto your other computer (if you can do it wired, that would be much quicker). Just plug both computers into the router, and you will see the other computer in your network places, just drag and drop.

thanks for all your help, the CDs seem to be working out great, so i'm just going to use that. :D
