good blade for floor school hockey

Recommended Posts

Well i was using V-20 blade on the gym floor of my hockey school league...but they now told me they wouldn,t accept it anymore...

I'm using a v-110 shaft fit to accept standard blade...i whanted to know any advice on how to make a curve on a plastic blade but that will keep is stiffness...

That my big problem... all plastics blade seem to flex soooooooooo easy! I heard that putting them in the freezer after heating them and curve it would make them more stiffer...

or anyone know a model of blade that do look like floor hockey stick??(i know a blue koho stick with a white blade..or a bauer one that teacher do use...) but would they make these kind of blade for retail?

On my HS JV team, we'd play floor hockey in the gym for dry-land practice. We used regular sticks, but we stuck clear hock tape on the bottoms of the blades so that we wouldn't scratch the floor (which I'm guessing is the reason you can't use them any more?).

no well...it maybe the second reason...why they say is...i could hurt a guys with my blade...

Sorry but some-one lost a teeth when a guy tried to do a slap shot with those plastic stick...a v-20 blade or a plastic will hurt the same...

What i dont like with plastic is the flex on these blade!!

whbd18 do you know what the blade is named? or where we can find it?

CobrAA i know mylec does one it cost like 10$ at gilbert rousseau. Its flex a bit at the botom but its better then nothing or if you are a freak like me we take a bauer from canadian tire and just take the blade with the tenon and use a sander to get the right size to put it on our z bubble. And to make a curve on those you will need a nice flame and you will keep the curve.

Who was the moron who took a slapshot in floor hockey?

Anyhow, I say spraypaint a v-20 or whatever else you want to use. No one will be smarter than to know. If they know how 2-piece sticks work, they should know better than to make you use those garbage sticks.

cobrAA, you should look into floorball: Floorball Canada. I saw it for the first time this weekend and it's a cool sport. I'm going to try to start playing it because it's a great dryland/offseason sport.

Most importantly, to answer your question, because the blades are plastic the schools allow their gyms to be used.

There´s some other easton blades as well. I´ve got this picture but it´s not really good. 00_1_b.JPG They are made of solid plastic and are already curved. They have only one curve though and it is like a mild mid-curve a la Iginla but the profile/shape is like a Shanny. Not sure if they are only retailing them in Europe, though? They show up on ebay germany every two weeks and usually go for about 10~15$ for a 3-pack

This is the kind of thing i'm looking at...hard solid plastic(almost ABS) with an all-ready curved blade...i found a not so bad ball stick from Bauer at 15cnd...but since i have a v110 shaft i would prefer a blade...

Too bad that these are in europe shipping cost would cost me too much!

Thanks

well i was in a canadian tire...and i saw a strret hockey bauer stick at 14cnd...so i think i will just pick this thing...they had 2 other stick but there plastic blade were flexing a bit too much...

also...rousseausports is selling the koho revolution 2100( i tinhk that the model) they say ABS but look very ''look-lile'' plastic so i think it could be good...if not they is the 1K RBK...which also ''look-like'' plastic..
