Chadd 916 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 I am looking to switch to a Lindstrom Curve. Can you people please tell me the advantages and disadvantages of using one. Thanks I assume you're talking about pro stock because no retailer makes a Lindstrom curve. Which Lindstrom's pro curve is it?
Thockey17 1 Report post Posted November 7, 2005 Its alot easier to shoot a puck into the rafters
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 Advantages: If you like a big heel curve with a square toe its good.Disadvantages: If you don't like a big heel curve with a square toe its bad. Curves are personal preference. I know people that can dangle the lights out with a lidstrom, I wouldn't use it if you payed me.

Chadd 916 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 just the Easton Lindstrom When did Easton start making a Lindstrom pattern?
Miike 1 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 Long ago, Chadd where have ya been, All the easton stuff has Lindstrom pattern. Thats what i use, I love it. I'll agree with Thockey it is easy to shoot it in the rafters but you learn how to keep it down.
Dougie8 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 just the Easton Lindstrom When did Easton start making a Lindstrom pattern? I'm pretty sure he meant the Lidstrom curveHeel curve, square toe, quite open....etc.

Cavs019 710 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 Its a shame you so called "hockey players" don't even know the name of perhaps the most fundamentally sound defenseman of this generation.

duckjob 1 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 I was deadly with that curve between the circles.. shit everywhere else. Yeah, I've got a friend I play with that is a great player, but if he is more than 10 feet from the net, his shot has about a 25% chance of being on net. SR27 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 Especially considering the guy´s name is actually Lidström. Anyway, if you can twist your wrists enough to close the face of this curve it´s good for some leap passes or else roofing it from in close. Other than that I have no idea what you are supposed to do with that thing.

cobrAA 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 IMo it is the worst blade...but that just me...i can't see me dangling with big curve like this...i couldn't do toe drag...which is around 75% of my stickhandling technique..(i always control the puck at the middle-toe when doing deck)...And your shot is always off the windows..this curve is too open...IMO(dont whant to start a fight) i think it is for defenceman you can't get up the puck when shooting from the blue... Chadd 916 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 Its a shame you so called "hockey players" don't even know the name of perhaps the most fundamentally sound defenseman of this generation. True, Chadd was obviously being sarcastic. Me sarcastic? never. ;) I used it when it was the leetch and I remember taking my first shot from just inside the hashmarks and bulging the twine. The problem is that it was the netting above the glass that I hit. I was never a big fan of the curve but it works for some people. I like having more of the backhand of the blade to use. If I hadn't used that curve, I might not understand this. That being said, it's very easy to go top top top shelf with this bad boy. I don't see how anyone can use this thing unless they just stand in front of the net all day and don't have a backhander. Also, isn't ironic that the curve is named after a defenseman although it's useless from anywhere outside of between the hashmarks? jbyun04 7 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 i find that it's great to stickhandle with, I can do toedrags and I can move the puck very well with it. For shooting, it works really well for me, I can aim very well with it and that being said it's my ideal curve. Like mentioned before, it is all about PP. Some people can't shoot accurately or stickhandle but others can.

I think you'd be better off with a Shanahan blade...in my opinion.I tried the Lidstrom blade a while back and EVERYTHING was going high....everything....passes, shots,...etc.
