Sorry to bring a RIDICULOUSLY old topic back to the top, but it's better than starting a new thread, so:

Does anyone have any directions/tips for removing the subshell from the 8k? Just playing around with the helmet a little, it seems like the foam is too brittle to endure any sort of "coaxing." I was thinking a bit of heat might soften the glue enough to slide the subshell(s) out...anyone with experience?

Remove the screws in the forehead and the two in the back. Push in the nuts and it comes right out.

BTW for color, permanent marker works well.
