NEW RBK 9K pump goalie skate...

Recommended Posts

Oh, I guess I didn't put 2 and 2 together. Thanks for enlightening me on this, and yes it is kinda ironic. :wacko:

The '06 RBK/CCM Goalie catalogs are not yet state-side and the products are not yet on the shelves :wacko:

Nelly,  I understand but my point was that the guy who started the thread and is drooling over the skates is the same guy who said to boycott all the big names that make stuff overseas. Kinda ironic

Dude...I started the thead. I'm hardly drooling over the skates, personally they just aren't my thing, I just thought I'd share the info. FYI I'm getting Grafs when I replace my Bauers.

There isn't any irony here. I simply got duped into buying one piece of gear that was made in China without realizing it and am paying for it now. Traditionaly when you buy the "pro" version of the product vs the "senior" version you get gear made in Canada. To my shock and dismay my new Gatekeeper Pro goalie pants were labelled "made in China" when they arrived and the lack of quality really shows. Yes CCM admitted they have a problem and replaced the first pants under warranty but the replacements are falling apart in all the same places. My rant was more about the quality not being there than which companies you should support. I just put the info out there to share, let you in on a little of my personal experience and leave it up to all of you to decide what is more important, cheap price vs quality product. I'd really like to see all consumers voting with their spending on whether to support America or China (aka boycott the Chinese gear) but I'm also a realist. I don't believe that many people will stop buying the cheaper gear and I know that if CCM/RBK and BNH are making big profits on the offshore gear other manufacturers are gonna have to follow suit just to stay competitive.

Again, No Irony Here! You really need to get "all" the facts before jumping to an assumption that is so wrong... :blink:

So, which company's goal pant's are made in Canada????

Good call Vision...almost forgot about Brown.

I was gonna say Vaughn, Tackla, Miller, Jackson and Simmons for sure. Possibly Brians, and high end SherWood and Louisville.

Kinda sceptical on the Itech's as they now say "designed in Canada".

Brown.

::m

True, but I'm talking major manufacturers. Brown is pretty much out of the picture. His stuff is top quality, no doubt, but outdated. NO ONE asks for Brown anymore. His C/A's IMO are the best out there. Too bad he hasn't keep up with the times.

Small manufacturers are still making textiles in north america, but all the major companies are now in the orient. Especially pants.
