Flipping a OPS shaft for regular blades

Recommended Posts

If I flip over the broken OPS to put on a regualr blade, will the mechanism of the shaft changed?? I always heard about low kick point, will it be effected and what is it actually??

Anyone have tried the OPS shaft with regular blade and find a difference in feel?

Thx

well i've never shooted that hard with my SL flip over for a Z-carb than my super technologic with 11 inch taper flex added concave corner for a better realease R2XN10 synthesis... so i would call it BS lol...

Only thing is...you might lost like 0 to 5 flex of your original flex rating

no, you wouldnt quite reverse the kickpoint, you would most likely create a new kick point..

but the best comparison is going from a zbub to ultralite...

but imho it's mostly hype.. there is nothing that will improve your shooting more than finding the right flex

Can´t say anything regarding performance but when I held a flipped around Synergy of a friend I disliked it right away. The shaft beeing thinner on top just felt "wrong" to me.

My shot is much harder with my R2XN10 than any non-tapered shaft. My goalie used to complain when I got out "the yellow stick"

The balance of the OPS is gone once you flip it with a blade at the other end. The stick was designed with the low kick point thru the tapered end. They make a great back-up stick when you put a blade in.

Dont whant to start a fight, but don't you think it's maybe just a buzz...or you are just using a different blade, flex

For me...what make the difference i think is the grip...i've never notice this before i started using my SL...and then after the warm-up i switched back to my xn10 and felt i was sliding too much and ''torquing'' when i was shooting..

The blade doesn't matter for power for me, just on accuracy. Flex could be a reason but Inno 260s never seem to work nearly as well for me.

thats where if you cut it at the bottom area where the foam ends and put a tapered blade in it, it should have the same effect as a OPS

Losing three inches of taper will reduce the effectiveness to some degree.

i had a ccm vector 110 and broke the blade on it, flipped it around and put in a standerd wood blade, and now it goes better as a shaft flipped with a blade than an ops.
