Which are Chicago property? I'm looking forward to seeing Pogge in net, he's going to need to steal the show in order for Canada to have a shot.

Angelo Esposito, was he even at the camp?

he was there, and from the coverage, sounded like he was doing good, but i guess not good enough.

He apparently missed a lot of great scoring chances. I'm not really suprised Price didn't make it which goes along with my idea that Gainey was out of his mind picking him. I was also suprised Wolfski and Alex Bourret didn't even get invites.

How could Price not make it? He's got much more international experience that Dubnyk and Pogge. Also quite surprised to see Setoguchi cut.

Who's going to have the C and A's?

My biggest surpise is not seeing Angelo Essposito there.

As for Sheppard, i agree he is a good player, but when it comes down to the 'Q' it seems like they tend to over look all the possible players down around here. I know for a fact having a Team in Halifax (Mooseheads) they will have a future player for Team Canada in Ryan Hillier and Andy Bondarchuk, but most likely will not even get a look in the future, even with there experience in the u18's and Team Canada/Russia Challenge.

He let his first 3 shots in last game and didn't have many shots in the 8-1 inter squad game.

Here's what Sutter had to say "... thats the difference between the other three and Pogge was that the other three were giving up soft goals. Price didn't let in as many goals but he let in more of the soft variety which became the difference in the decision making process".

TSN reporters were saying espisito's chance of making the team was slim from day one.

The age factor would have put him in elite company. I haven't heard much hype around him, and Sutter isn't the type to keep a guy as a PP specialist, especially when he left NHL calibre players off the invite list.

I'm obviously a bit biased because I go to school with the kid, but Pokulok will have a bigger role than simply the 7th D-man. I've seen him play many times and he is very impressive, extremely mobile for his size. I wouldn't be surprised if he played himself into a higher spot on the D depth chart once the team Canada brass see his assets. NCAA players aren't as visible as the CHL guys, but they are just as good.

The NCAA guys are usually much older though. On an even level by age, the CHL guys are better.

Someone was saying on another message board he has had a very rough year in the NCAA and a good camp helped him through, so I don't think he's starting off in the top 6.

He may start off as 7th, but he is just starting to hit his stride. Pokulok has definitely taken some criticism from Cornell fans for not playing as well as last year. What i've heard a few times is people say that he doesn't look like he has the energy that he had pre-draft. Even so, i've seen every Cornell home game this year and "rough" is definitely a bit harsh to describe his season so far. The team as a whole has been struggling, and it hasn't helped that there was a lot of hype about how they are supposed to be better than last year's team that was a goal away from the frozen four. Personally i've been impressed by his play. I'm sure Barker will be the PP QB on the team, but Pokulok runs it damn well from the point and could definitely be part of the second PP unit. His shot is huge and he distributes the puck around smoothly.

Surprised they cut Little, be interesting to see how the filling spots type of building a team will work out for them in a stronger tournament like this.

i can't wait for next years camp, when bernier gets a shot in nets. he's one of the most amazing goalies i've seen. i went n watched my friends game, lewiston, and they got peppered and bernier was just unbelievable, and he's only 17. i was hoping he coulda got a shot at camp this year.

Pokulok will definitly start off as the 7th for the simple reason that Barker and Russell play together as do Bourdon and Letang and Staal and Parent have played together at the U18's.
