Does anyone know why we nolonger have hockey shows ? I only remember 2 in my life, the first was in Brampton On , great show lots of new gear and info.

Last one was crappy , no major sponsors , only mission gear ?

I really think they would be big, HELP ME RALLY TO BRING THEM BACK !

Retailers , would this be any benefit to you ?

what kind of show are you talking about... what are you looking for. do you want a show for the retail consumer, or do you want a show for the dealers themselves.

need to be more specific.

Not exactly sure really , possibly the consumer , just something that the manufacturer could show there new stuff and the retailer could sell there new stuff.

Like the bicycle show every year .

Let's Play Hockey Expo occurs in early March in St. Paul during the Minnesota HS Championships.

And Hockey Expo New England will occur outside Boston in late March during the NCAA regionals.

Those are consumer shows (plus I've heard of smaller ones in Canada), while there are two tradeshows for retailers to see upcoming products. The main show will be in Boston this January, while a smaller version that has morphed somewhat into a roller show will occur in Vegas in January.

Just about every year there is a show held that is open to the public where consumers and retailers can visit and see new and upcoming product.

All the details can be found at the link below.

This year's show is in Boston from Jan. 7-9

Hockeyhair, the One Goal Show is not open to the public.

My rep in New England is producing the Hockey Expo New England, and he has told me that when the new Boston Convention Center was built, either city or state ordinances mandated that no consumer shows could be held there.

Do you distribute the Salming gear ?

Dlightning, I'm the US distributor. Modern Hockey out of Vancouver is the Canadian distributor.

I hope your friend likes the products.

If you purchase equipment for the team in your role as an equipment manager, you can likely get into the show.

Have you ever heard about PHATS-SPHEM? It's the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society - Sociery of Professional Hockey Equipment Managers.

The link doesn't seem to be working this morning, but it's an organization that could probably provide great resources for you in your role as equipment manager.

Sorry about that. It was my understanding that it was, because we have school field trips from Ontario that will be in attendance.

At the Boston show?

Yes. They may have been able to register however, because it is a University course on Retail Sports store Managment.

I don't really know. But I am sure that they will be attending as they have already registered.
