new tapered blade

i've been hearing that a tapered shaft and a wooden tapred blade performs like a one peice, but better feel. any truth to this? and what are some good wooden tapered blades?

TPS R2 woodies are good, Bauer has a nice woodie, and Easton Synthesis woodies are nice.

The performace should be close to the same but as for feel it just preferance. Some people like wood some people dont. Also, I think christian makes some good woodies. I dont know about the tps and easton ones tho. I dont know of any other companies that make tapered woodies.

if I cut my SL shaft to fit a tapered blade, do I get long or short hosel. Where its at right now its perfect height, that is, if the blade wasn't half missing. I'm going to cut it so it fits tapered blade I hope, but I dont know what hosel length to get.

It will be a tapered blade.

According to my measurements (which have been known to be off) the SL shaft won't accept standard size measurements until somewhere quite high, almost towards the mid-point of the shaft. FYI - I got this info by taking a micrometer and taking measurements up the length of the shaft.
