Just a warning... watch out for Chelsea Piers pro shop. Got my skates sharpened there, and once I stepped on the ice I knew something was wrong. Took them back to my usual place (Sports Section in Cedar Grove, NJ) and the guy looks at them and sees a black line down the center of the hollow and says, "the inside edge was totally missed. the wheel didn't even touch it." And on the other skate the outside edge was totally missed. Really annoys me to drop $8 for a sharpening and wind up with basically unusable skates.

The Ice House proshop has a solid selection, though I noticed the prices on certain items are higher than elsewhere.

Black line means that they didn't clean their wheel, or just sharpened them too fast and the steel over heated. Most likely the wheel though. They probably didn't center the blade and went right at it.
